We are at our very best when we are civically engaged. 🇺🇸 Thank you to everyone who attended our town hall last night! It was a thoughtful discussion, and I am heartened by your care for our communities and our country. And thank you to Penn State Abington for hosting us on your beautiful campus!

From pioneering vaccine treatments to cutting-edge research on HIV and heart disease, Montco is shaping the future of medicine. Glad to celebrate Merck’s historic $2.8 billion investment right here at home, strengthening our local economy and our commitment to the life sciences!

Today we're celebrating a $10 million federal investment in railroad infrastructure, strengthening connections across Pottstown, Stowe, Greshville, Boyertown, Bechtelsville, and Bally — including at the historic Colebrookdale Railroad! Together, we’re building a safer, more connected Pennsylvania.

Congratulations to Glenside’s SSG Colin Doyle on being named U.S. Army Special Operations Command Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year! 🇺🇸 The future of our young servicemembers is bright — our nation more secure — with NCOs like SSG Doyle leading our most advanced military units.

Glad to kick off another year of our student taskforce! 📚 Our young people are bright, thoughtful, and curious about the world around them — and what they can contribute to it. I am energized whenever I can learn from their experiences and their spirit.

As the climate crisis worsens, our farmers, chefs, restaurants, and all those who feed us are hit hardest. I was fortunate to join FarmerJawn, the James Beard Foundation, and culinary leaders for a critical conversation on sustainability, hunger, and collaboration at every level of agriculture.

I am heartbroken to hear of the death of Philadelphia police officer Shane Seiber in the line of duty today. My thoughts are with his grieving family, as well as the family of another officer who was wounded—I am praying for his recovery.

Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists launched a brutal, barbaric — most inhumane — attack on the people of Israel. Today, we remember the suffering of October 7th. Tomorrow, we continue the work, with mercy and moral clarity, to make peace. My full statement ➡️ dean.house.gov/press-releas...

Today is a Good Day offers resources for NICU families across our region. It was a privilege to secure Community Project Funding for their team, and I was glad to hear how those federal dollars expanded their family advocacy in our local hospitals. Thank you for your big work for our littlest.💚

I was thrilled to help open the Schuylkill River Trail’s final portion in Montco — adding to its 70-mile stretch. This project is decades in the making for our communities to bike, walk, run, and take in our natural resources. Thank you to our state & local leaders for making this possible.

AI deepfakes are stealing our voices, faces, and identities. The technology is moving fast, but the law hasn't caught up. That’s why Congresswoman Salazar and I introduced the NO FAKES Act — to put the power over your voice and likeness back where it belongs — with you.

President Trump gave ICE and CBP billions of your tax dollars. They have used those dollars to terrorize our communities, kill immigrants and Americans, and now to tell you what a great job Trump is doing. This is an abuse of power, and Democrats will hold them accountable.

This administration wants voters to be intimidated because they know they're losing. Don't let the lies and fearmongering win — our elections are free and fair. All voters should feel empowered to use their voice.

The survivors of Jeffrey Epstein deserve justice. While in Dallas, I viewed an exhibit of more than 300 million pages of the Epstein Files. It is a brave project that aims to uncover the cruel crimes of Epstein and his associates, and to give voice to the women and girls who suffered their abuse.

Our veterans represent the very best of us — and I am always eager to learn from their experiences to help guide my work. Thank you to our Veterans Advisory Panel (and the veterans on my team!) for giving their insights on how we can better support veterans as they establish their civilian lives.

I was delighted to celebrate 73 years of the United States—Republic of Korea alliance. In the wake of the Korean War, the Eisenhower Admin forged the US-ROK Mutual Defense Treaty. Eisenhower wrote “the security of an individual nation in the free world depends upon the security of its partners.”

I was especially grateful to Master Yang, our local VFWs, and our Korean-American community for organizing this event in North Wales — a strong reminder of our duty to uphold that very same commitment to long-lasting peace.

September is National Recovery Month — an opportunity to remind people that recovery is possible. 💜 My family shares our story to help break the stigma — and I was grateful to speak alongside the Winder family, who lead with such vulnerability, at Montgomery County’s Reflections on Recovery.

I carry the U.S. Constitution with me every single day — and I encourage every American to do so. It is the beautiful, clear foundation of our nation, and a constant reminder of my pledge to uphold its freedoms. On this Constitution Day, may we all celebrate and reflect on its guiding principles.

Today is National Voter Registration Day! 🗳️ Our Democracy is at its best when we are engaged. October 19 is the deadline to register to vote or update your voter information for the General Election on November 3. Make your voice heard! ➡️ vote.pa.gov/Register

On Friday, Montgomery County rededicated an extraordinary 9/11 memorial by sculptor Sassona Norton — two hands clasping a steel beam from the World Trade Center. This beautiful sculpture was moved to Elmwood Park, with the help of many volunteers, to be more accessible to Montco residents.

On this solemn day, we remember the innocent lives stolen and the first responders who ran toward danger to help. We remember them all as the very best of us. I was grateful to have a moment at Abington's War Memorial Park. Let us all take the time today to reflect. We will never forget.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 beautiful lives stolen and their families forever mourning.   We honor the more than 400 first responders — patriots — who ran toward danger to help those in need. And we never forget.

PFAS has jeopardized our health for years. Now, the Pentagon is delaying cleanups at 243 military sites by up to 19 years. The burden of this Administration's carelessness falls on our service members and communities. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/09/c...

nytimes.comToxic PFAS Cleanups at Military Sites Face Decades of DelayThe Pentagon has again postponed PFAS cleanups at hundreds of military sites, in some cases up to 19 years, prompting bipartisan anger in Congress.

Hunger is rising in Montgomery County — for children, seniors, veterans, and families. As SNAP & Medicaid cuts threaten nutrition for our most vulnerable, I’m grateful for the urgent efforts of our food pantries, including the Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard in Ambler.

Unions and laborers built America. Today we recognize the strength, prosperity, and security hard-fought by American workers — from a 40-hour week to healthcare, anti-harassment laws, safe working conditions, and so much more. Happy Labor Day!

Article 1, Section 27 of the PA Constitution is a beautiful amendment — enshrining our right to a clean, safe environment for ourselves and for future generations. We have Sen. Franklin Kury's wisdom and love of our natural resources to thank. He was a giant. May his memory be a blessing.
