Congressman Dwight Evans

In the wake of the Trump administration and House Republicans’ cuts to health care funding, I'm committed to fighting to restore funding for Medicaid and Affordable Care Act coverage and to defend protections for people with pre-existing conditions like cancer. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

I join the rest of the city in wishing Jalen Hurts the best in his recovery! His diagnosis raises important awareness of the increased risk of blood clots, especially for African Americans.   Learn more about the risks and critical warning signs associated with blood clots 👇🏾

This Halloween, the real jump scare is how high candy prices are under Trump’s economy. Check out this new report 🔽

The GOP economy: The rich keep getting richer, while working families pay the price.

This #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth is a great reminder early detection can save lives. Everyone, regardless of income or zip code, deserves access to breast cancer screenings. Learn more about this @pahealthdept.bsky.social program that helps Pennsylvanians get screened:

Trump’s been saying for months his illegal war of choice will be over quickly. Meanwhile #PA03 families have been forced to spend an extra $484 at the gas pump alone since his war began. And even if you don’t drive, higher fuel prices have jacked up food prices!

⏰ Today’s the day! ⏰ Don’t leave your power on the table this Election Day- make sure you are registered to vote, and that your voter record is up to date!

Pennsylvania’s voter registration deadline is in just 3⃣ DAYS! It only takes a couple minutes to visit vote.phila.gov and register to vote or make sure your registration is up to date. Then make sure your friends’ and family’s are too!

AI companies, crypto, defense contractors, and billionaire allies have all poured $330 million into Trump’s gilded ballroom while they had business before his administration. What did Trump promise them?

There is still a war with Iran — even Trump said so — AND it's far past time to end it. House Democrats have voted several times to end this unnecessary war that’s costing taxpayers billions. When will a majority of House Republicans put people over politics and join us?

🚨Is your health care coverage at risk?🚨 Thanks to Trump and congressional Republicans' Big Ugly Law, changes are coming to Medicaid. Check the graphic to see if you or someone you know is on a PA Medicaid plan, make sure you stay up to date and prepared. Visit: dhs.pa.gov/medicaidchanges

Governor Shapiro keeps delivering for Philadelphia's economy and the entire commonwealth! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Working Americans are sick and tired of rising prices.   But thanks to Donald Trump’s war of choice and his rubber-stamping Republicans in Congress, gas and diesel prices are reaching record highs and inflation just keeps rising.

Trump's "drop in the bucket" diesel deal with Russia isn't likely to help much with high fuel prices OR high food prices. Ending his war of choice with Iran would!

I’m always glad to hear how my Service Academy Day provides useful takeaways for applicants! This year's deadline to apply is just SIX days away: Oct. 19. If you couldn’t join us for Service Academy Day, make sure to visit my website for more info: evans.house.gov/services/mil...

On #IndigenousPeoplesDay, let us honor and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and achievements of Indigenous communities in Pennsylvania and beyond.   Today and every day, I’m proud to stand alongside our Indigenous communities in their continued fight for justice and equality.

In the past year and a half, Trump cut billions from health care, forced hospital closures across the country, & caused health insurance premiums to skyrocket for millions. None of that made health care more affordable or accessible. Let’s call this one-time payment what it is: A last-minute stunt.

Thanks to congressional Republicans and President Trump, changes to Medicaid coverage are starting this month and will affect a significant number of Philadelphians. If you or someone you know is on Medicaid, make sure you stay up to date and prepared ⬇️

Our message to the Trump-Vance administration is simple: Hands off Head Start! This vital resource ensures every child a chance to succeed no matter their zip code or economic status. We should be expanding this program, not enacting cruel back-door cuts.

Calling #PA03 middle and high school students: Are you interested in coding? Do you have an idea for an app that helps address a problem in our community? The Congressional App Challenge is for you! Applications are due Oct. 26. To learn more, visit: evans.house.gov/CAC

This #BannedBooksWeek, I’m proud to join @raskin.house.gov in fighting back against the Trump-Vance administration’s efforts to censor our nation’s diverse history and ban books across the country.

A ‘small price to pay’ for a war ending 'very soon'?? Philly drivers are currently facing a 37% price hike at the gas pump thanks to Trump’s war of choice. Meanwhile, he's been claiming his war will be over 'soon' for SEVEN MONTHS now...

Are you registered to vote? Have you moved since the last election? Did you recently change your name (due to marriage or divorce, for example)? The deadline to register to vote or update your registration in PA is Oct. 19! Don’t wait- check TODAY to see if your voter registration is up to date 👇🏾

This is great news! The Trump-Vance administration’s closure of this hotline was unconscionable. I was proud to work alongside my @equality.house.gov colleagues to restore this vital lifeline for LGBTQ+ youth in crisis.

This year, game-day staples are more expensive thanks to President Trump’s blanket tariff-taxes and war of choice. And most of the House Republican majority keeps going along with both!

The Trump-Vance administration apparently hasn't given up on anti-choice extremism — they're just delaying it until after Election Day!

New AI disinformation efforts are another in a long line of tactics used to disenfranchise Black voters. Ahead of this election, everyone MUST remain vigilant for disinformation and misinformation campaigns. Our vote is our voice, and we cannot let anyone take our power from us.

This president’s priorities could not be clearer.

Throughout my time in Congress, I've had the honor and privilege to nominate students from #PA03 to our nation’s service academies— and I've been proud to provide this important constituent service. If you are interested in my office's nomination process, join us this Saturday!

ANOTHER two years of gutting health care, rubberstamping Trump's war of choice, and letting prices skyrocket?
