Thank you to Shirdi Saibaba Temple for the warm welcome this weekend. By hosting this consular camp, you’re helping families stay connected across generations and borders. I’m grateful for our friendship and proud to stand with Arizona’s Indian American community.

Congress is supposed to hold the president accountable. Instead, the MAGA majority in Congress has chosen to cover for Trump’s own corruption. When House Democrats retake the majority, we’ll investigate his abuses of power and restore the checks and balances congressional Republicans abandoned.

Helped kick off Mesa Arts Center’s 20th Día de los Muertos Festival with Councilmember Jenn Duff and Rep. Lorena Austin. What a beautiful celebration of Mexican heritage and the loved ones whose memories we keep alive through music, art and family traditions.

Arizonans need affordable and accessible healthcare coverage. Yet Trump’s budget slashed coverage for families and risks hospital closures across the country. I’m fighting to restore Medicaid funding and protect Medicare so our communities don’t lose the clinics and emergency rooms they rely on.

I’ve helped secure more than $230 million in federal funding for local transit, and I’m working across the aisle on a bipartisan highways and transit bill to bring home even more. Because every family in the Valley deserves affordable transit they can count on, just like my dad did.

That’s why I’ll always support public transportation & why it meant so much to celebrate Valley Metro’s 2026 Outstanding Public Transportation System award from APTA. This award is a testament to the excellent leadership of Valley Metro CEO Jessica Mefford-Miller & the hard work of her whole team.

Trump’s war of choice with Iran sent fuel prices soaring. Now he’s struck a deal to stop sanctions on Russian diesel, despite little evidence it will lower prices for Americans. To make matters worse, Putin can use that windfall to fund his brutal invasion of Ukraine.

Both Democrats and Republicans oppose this misguided deal. All Members of Congress should join Foreign Affairs Committee Democrats in passing the bipartisan Prohibit Corrupt Russia Oil Deals Act now.

Last call, student coders! 💻 Submissions to the Congressional App Challenge close TOMORROW NIGHT, Oct. 25. Middle and high schoolers in the district can submit an app built solo or with a team, and the winner’s app will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol.

In 2014, I grabbed a shovel alongside the late Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor to break ground on ASU Law’s new home in downtown Phoenix. Now it's celebrating 10 years of training AZ's next generation of lawyers and leaders. Happy anniversary to ASU's law school bearing her name!

Grand Canyon. Saguaro. Petrified Forest. Now, Chiricahua. I was proud to back the bipartisan bill that made Chiricahua America’s 64th national park, preserving its towering rock spires and rich Apache heritage for generations to come.

FEMA’s chief just told states they should prepare to handle more natural disasters on their own. As the lead Democrat on the subcommittee overseeing FEMA, I’ve exposed how Trump gutted the agency and diverted its resources to ICE enforcement. Now, he wants to cut it back even more.

I’m honored to earn another 100% score from @HRC on their Congressional Scorecard. As mayor, I led in taking Phoenix from 70% to a 100% score on their Municipal Equality Index by expanding LGBTQ+ rights. I brought that same fight with me to Washington.

A 30% cut to our Colorado River water is already a heavy lift for Arizona families, farmers, and businesses. Going deeper isn’t an option. Joining Nevada’s lawsuit sends a clear message: Arizona will do its share, but we refuse to take on disproportionate cuts.

I was a leader in the House in passing the CHIPS and Science Act, which has turned AZ into a global technology and manufacturing hub. Companies are now investing hundreds of billions of dollars to build America’s semiconductor industry right here in the Valley.

Thousands of residents count on it day in and day out. That's why I worked in Congress to bring home $1 million to expand Flex to more of the community. It was great celebrating its success with Mayor Hartke and the Chandler City Council.

Honored to join Arizona’s Indian American community on Sunday for Bathukamma, a flower festival from the state of Telangana. We also celebrated the AZ Telangana Association’s 21st anniversary with Sen. Priya Sundareshan and Mayor Gallego. Bathukamma Shubhakankshalu!

Great morning this weekend at VFW Post 1760 helping the Willow & Oak Alliance kick off its first-ever food pantry & hand out groceries to our neighbors in need. Mesa veterans & families now have a new place to turn for help thanks to David Friend, Commander Chitwood, & United Food Bank volunteers.

We're grateful to law enforcement for acting quickly and keeping our staff and communities safe. We will not be intimidated, and we'll keep doing the work that Arizonans elected us to do.

Financial literacy opens doors to college, entrepreneurship, and homeownership. I spoke to Geneva Epps Mosley Middle School students about smart money management to kick off a fun Financial Soccer event with U.S. Women's Soccer legend Julie Ertz. Thanks for having me during AZ Credit Union Week!

Mesa sounded great this weekend! Stopped by the Mesa Music Festival today with Councilmember Duff this weekend. From up-and-coming bands to food trucks and local art, it was great seeing the community out supporting our artists.

Happy 120th birthday to the Mesa Public Library! Libraries give kids the confidence to read, the freedom to explore, and the tools to chase their dreams. They’re also a lifeline for our community, helping job seekers find work, getting neighbors online, and bringing people together.

Over 100,000 Arizonans lost health insurance this year because of the inaction of the MAGA majority in Congress. No one should have to wait until it’s an emergency to see a doctor. I’m fighting to restore the Affordable Care Act tax credits to lower your healthcare premiums.

ICE just gave GardaWorld a $1.2 billion contract to expand the Florence detention center. At the same time, the company is still avoiding answering questions about its experience & credentials to transform a Surprise, AZ megawarehouse into another detention facility.

I joined the National Association of Manufacturers and AZ business leaders at Benchmark in Tempe for a tour and roundtable about the bipartisan infrastructure and highways bill. We need to get projects built and invest in the infrastructure our families and businesses count on.

Governor Hobbs and the State of Arizona are right to challenge the Trump administration’s decision to leave extreme, disproportionate cuts to our share of Colorado River water on the table.

Arizona has led the way on conservation. We use less water today than we did 50 years ago. We will keep working toward a fair and equitable long-term solution for the entire Basin. But let there be no doubt: Arizona will defend our water rights and fight for the future of our state.

abc15.comArizona joins lawsuit over Colorado River water cutsThe Arizona Department of Water Resources announced on Friday that they are joining Nevada's lawsuit against the Federal Government over the new Colorado River cuts.

Buying Russian diesel likely won’t lower prices. It will, however, guarantee billions for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. It’s why both Democrats and Republicans are demanding Trump call off this misguided deal.

Arizona’s election officials must be able to do their jobs safely and without intimidation, especially with voting already underway. Those responsible must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

I’m grateful @congressmanraja.bsky.social, his family, and everyone at their Aurora temple are safe. This potential mass shooting was an act of white supremacist hate against Indian Americans, and it has no place in our country.

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi@congressmanraja.bsky.social

My family and I were worshipping at our Hindu temple in Aurora on Sunday when a white supremacist attempted a mass shooting targeting Indian Americans. I'm grateful to those who prevented a tragedy, but we must all come together to confront the hatred that put so many innocent lives at risk.

I’ve reached out to Hindu leaders across my district to offer my support, including helping them and their local temples navigate federal grants for security upgrades, equipment, and training to keep their houses of worship safe.
