This week, I visited Eugene Triplett's fifth-generation family farm in Culpeper. As the only Virginian on the Ag Committee, I was honored to visit his farm, hear his story, and discuss how I'm working to save programs that help him sell produce to local churches and schools.

It was great to join Beth Sholom Temple in celebrating 90 years of Jewish life, faith, and community in the Fredericksburg area. I’m proud to commemorate this milestone and honor the congregation’s lasting legacy with an entry in the Congressional Record. Mazel tov on 90 years!

My American Cost of Living Defense Act will expose corporate practices that may be driving up costs and help hold powerful corporations accountable. It's time to put consumers first and bring down costs for hardworking Americans.

Secretary Hegseth told me himself that the Department of Defense prepared for every possible outcome of going to war with Iran. Trump and Hegseth knew exactly what could happen. They chose this path anyway. Our troops are paying the price for a war they chose to start without a plan to finish.

The proposed merger between NextEra and Dominion Energy would raise prices for consumers. 🚨I joined @warren.senate.gov and @repsuhas.bsky.social in warning the FERC that this merger could leave ratepayers footing the bill while the enlarged company delays grid upgrades and evades scrutiny.

Political intimidation has no place in our democracy, and it will not deter me from doing my job and serving the people of Virginia's Seventh District.

I was honored to meet so many federal employees at the NARFE Chapter 1270 luncheon.   These are dedicated public servants who have spent their careers serving our country, supporting our communities, and keeping our government running.   Thank you for your service and for all you do!

Cases of mail theft and check fraud are growing, putting families, businesses, and communities at risk. I’m leading legislation to strengthen the U.S. Postal Service OIG’s ability to investigate postal employee misconduct, mail theft, and check fraud.

I'm glad President Trump ultimately reversed course on plans to live-stream Nidal Hasan's execution, but we should never have reached this point in the first place. I introduced legislation to ensure no future administration can authorize the live-streaming of executions in the United States.

Trump’s reckless war with Iran has sent gas, diesel, and grocery prices skyrocketing. Now, just weeks before the midterms, he’s turning to Vladimir Putin to bail him out with a diesel deal. This isn’t the first time Trump has made a deal with the devil, and it certainly won’t be the last.

I’m proud to have earned an A from Defend The Vote Action Fund for my record of fighting corruption, protecting voting rights, and standing up for the voice and vote of Virginians in VA-07. I’m grateful for this recognition and will keep working to ensure our democracy works for everyone.

I celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Chesapeake Bay and Watershed Report Card and a major milestone: the Bay earned its highest score in 40 years! This progress is a testament to the hard work of the communities, conservationists, and partners dedicated to protecting the Chesapeake Bay.

Our troops should never be asked to carry out the political will of a president at the expense of our democracy. I’m backing Rep. Ryan’s legislation to prevent the president from weaponizing the military to interfere with our elections. Americans’ right to vote must remain free from intimidation.

The proposed NextEra-Dominion merger is a bad deal for Virginians, and I’m fighting to stop it. I joined fellow Virginians at the SCC hearing to demand that they reject this merger and put families ahead of corporate profits. We must stand with Main Street, not Wall Street. 📺 Watch my remarks:

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. This month, join me in raising awareness, supporting those affected, and in fighting for a cure.

🚨 HAPPENING NOW 🚨 I’m at the SCC hearing in Fairfax joining fellow Virginians in opposing the Dominion-NextEra merger. Virginians are already paying too much for electricity. We can’t afford a deal that could send bills even higher.

As an Army JAG, I oversaw the post-trial legal proceedings following Nidal Hasan’s horrific attack at Fort Hood. I believed then, and I believe now, that he should face the fullest consequences of the law. But live-streaming his execution is what terrorists and authoritarian regimes do.

On Tuesday, I attended the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office National Night Out.    It’s always a privilege to honor and thank our local first responders for their service to our community. Thank you to Sheriff Decatur and the entire Sheriff’s Office for bringing our neighbors together!

The proposed merger between Dominion Energy and NextEra Energy could have serious consequences for the hardworking Virginia families I represent. I joined Sen. Warren and Rep. Subramanyam in sending a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission urging them to closely scrutinize this deal.

Today marks three years since Hamas carried out the horrific October 7 massacre in Israel.   We remember those who were killed and stand with the families and communities who continue to grieve.   We must continue working toward a lasting peace that brings security and stability to the region.

It was great to attend a Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration during a Prince William Board of County Supervisors meeting.  It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich culture, history, and contributions of the Hispanic community in Prince William County. Thank you for having me!
