October 26th is the Day of the Deployed, a day to recognize the brave servicemembers serving overseas, and their families. I’m proud to sponsor this bipartisan resolution to make sure our servicemembers and their families know our country sees them and is grateful for their incredible sacrifices.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To all the survivors, the women currently fighting, and their loved ones affected by this heartbreaking disease: you are not alone. We must continue fighting to improve our health care system and funding research, so that we can finally beat cancer. 🩷

This week, I got to help break ground at Preservation Square, which will soon be the site of hundreds of mixed-income homes. This project is a direct result of what happens when neighbors advocate for their needs, and local, state, and federal partners work together to make it happen.

🚨New federal funding for the St. Louis region! After the tornado destroyed so much of our district last year, I haven’t stopped fighting to bring funds and resources back to St. Louis to rebuild. Today, I’m proud to announce that we secured over $1M in funding for highway infrastructure repair.

It was an absolute pleasure visiting SLATE today! What an incredible team working to help St. Louisans build careers and a better future. Thank you all for the work you do to help, train and support job seekers across the St. Louis region.

On this World Food Day, I want to call attention to the millions of Americans experiencing food insecurity as a direct result of Trump’s cuts to food assistance. I’m fighting to reverse the cuts and end food insecurity. Nobody should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

Heartbroken by the news of more senseless and avoidable violence at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend. My heart is with the families of the victims and the entire Bend-La Pine Schools community in this unimaginable moment. apnews.com/article/oreg...

On this Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor and celebrate the rich history and culture of the Indigenous communities that continue to shape our country today. May we always remember how central Indigenous Peoples are to the American story.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking at Mastercard's Dreams Built Here event. When we invest in our small businesses we are investing in ourselves and our communities. St. Louis has not seen its best days. I will keep working in Congress to bring more resources back to our region.

On this World Mental Health Day, I want to underscore the importance of making mental health care more accessible to all.  I truly believe that to fix public safety, you have to fix public health— including mental health.  I’m fighting for mental health resources in St. Louis.

Wanted to take a moment to shout out my amazing team.  We had our 2026 staff retreat in DC last week, and learned more about working with each other and how to best represent everyone back home in the district.  Couldn’t do this without all of you. 🫶🏾

Thankful to see the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline resume its services for LGBTQ+ youth in crisis. The administration should never have been allowed to remove this service, but I'm glad it's back for those who need it. People need to know there's always somewhere to turn in their darkest moments.

Three years after October 7, we remember the thousands of lives taken and hundreds more kidnapped into captivity. To the Jewish community in St. Louis: Know that antisemitism has no place here, and on this solemn day, I stand in solidarity with you. May their memories be a blessing.

Applications for my spring internship program close are now open! Interning is a great way to learn the ropes of Congress, whether you’re DC or St. Louis-based. Come help me and my team represent Missouri’s First District!

I’m beyond proud to announce over $10 million in workforce development funding for St. Louis Community College. I know what incredible work this community college does to uplift its students, and I hope these new funds will help it impact even more St. Louisans.

And yet another win for STL! $42 million going to ensure safety and provide operational improvements for Lambert Airport. More investment for our region, airport, and working to awaken the sleeping giant of St. Louis.

$2 million for Missouri HBCUs! Harris-Stowe State University and Lincoln University are cornerstones of Black education in this country. I’m looking forward to seeing how these grants contribute to building the next generation of world changers.

Today closes out September, National Recovery Month. We must recognize the strength of people in recovery and their communities. That’s why I’m proud to have founded the Diversion and Rehabilitation Caucus to provide rehabilitation resources for people in recovery in the penal system.

St. Louis is a cornerstone of America’s aerospace and defense industrial base. Boeing’s new carrier fighter will bring high-paying jobs to the region, and strengthen our Navy. I’ll keep fighting to ensure St. Louis remains at the center of America’s national security, defense, and aerospace.

Public lands are crucial to preserving the natural beauty of the Show Me State. I’ll always advocate to protect them in Missouri and across the country. That’s why I was glad to join a letter opposing any effort by the Trump Administration to sell off land within Yosemite National Park.

A win for STL! I was proud to support the Water Resources Development Act, which overwhelmingly passed the House last week. It includes a project authorization for Laclede’s Landing. This will help with flood risk management, navigation, recreation, and ecosystem restoration near the area.

I got the chance to speak to the families of victims wrongfully killed by ICE. Nothing will ever truly bring back what’s been taken from them, but myself and @OversightDems are fighting to hold ICE and the Trump Administration accountable.
