Over the years RSpace has grown from electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) into a platform for managing samples, orchestrating research workflows, and connecting the tools and infrastructure researchers and their institutions use. We just relaunched our website to reflect that: buff.ly/xbooakI

Thanks to SURF and DANS for bringing the PID community together again at #pidfest26 in Leiden this week. We're looking forward to it: PIDs pay off most when captured while research happens, and that takes the tools and infrastructure working together. buff.ly/VLLCbwN

Last Wednesday at the Open Science Festival in Delft: a hands-on session with SURF, from an RSpace record via SURF Research Drive to Dataverse. Tomorrow in Groningen: Rory Macneil co-leads a workshop on interoperable tools and infrastructures at FAIR data without borders. #OpenScience #RSpace

Tomorrow at #RDA London, OSTrails is presenting 3 posters from its national pilots: 💠Connecting DMPs and ELNs 💠Describing research software in maDMPs 💠Finland's national reference maDMP model Come say hi! #OSTrails #maDMP #OpenScience

RSpace is at #RDAP27 in London, 6 to 8 Oct. Rory Macneil joins the joint Active DMPs / Common Standards / maDMP API session, Thu 8 Oct 13:30 BST, to talk about connecting DMPs and lab notebooks through open standards. Come say hi.

Back from FDM@Campus 2026, where @tilomat.de talked about integrating PIDs into research workflows: IGSN IDs for samples, PIDINST for instruments, RAiD for projects, used while the work happens. Solutions like RSpace link them as you go. buff.ly/JPux97Q #FAIR #PIDs

Plenty of ELNs let you paste a structure. Fewer let you do anything with it. A year of open-source chemistry in RSpace: PubChem import inside a document, stoichiometry tables from a reaction drawing, reagents linked to real stock. buff.ly/Oa3AIsH

Yesterday's #RSpace open-source office hour #9, thanks to Fabian Monheim, Mike Parkes & Ákos Kukucska: 🤖 local-LLM AI agents for the ELN 🔬 instrument data into RSpace forms 📊 RSpace linked to DBRepo tables Notes: github.com/rspace-os/co... Next: #10, 18 Nov

New on the RSpace blog: research documentation in the age of AI 🧪🤖 Our colleague @tilomat reflects on: how to onboard AI agents to RSpace and keep track of what they contributed. Read it here: :https://buff.ly/ep0t9iL #OpenScience #Provenance #OpenSource

Your large datasets don't need to live inside your notebook. RSpace integrates files on your institutional file storage solution into your research documentation and makes them available when needed. Read our new guide for efficiently using your organisation's file stores: buff.ly/P33XpfI

Thanks to all who joined our 8th RSpace open-source office hour! Titusz Pan & Martin Etzrodt (ISCC Foundation) introduced the ISCC standard for fingerprinting content, and we discussed it with regards to content verification in the AI age and how it aligns with RSpace's work on instruments and more.

Lots of generalist ELNs "support chemistry" by displaying structures. The real work happens elsewhere. Our open chemistry engine gives us and our community the agency to build real chemistry workflows.

Core facilities manage experiment documentation across dozens of simultaneous client projects. Our latest post breaks down explores how RSpace solutions map to different Core facility types. 👉 Blog: buff.ly/lxjKhCt 👉 Templates from this post: buff.ly/KGxfFin #CoreFacility #ResearchDataManagement

Scattered paper notebooks, copy-pasted protocols, documentation that's difficult to hand off. Our latest post explains how structured templates and forms in RSpace fix that, with real examples from a molecular biology researcher. buff.ly/QWMyNHy #ELN #ResearchDataManagement #Templates

We've just launched The Guide to the RSpace Project - a community resource for contributing to and engaging with RSpace as an open source platform. Intentionally brief, with more to come. Thanks @thecscce.bsky.social for the support through the Birdaro training program! 📖→ buff.ly/3pGG2CT

We've just added native RAiD support to RSpace's PID portfolio, so researchers can report data deposits to a RAiD record automatically, as part of their usual repository export workflow. Learn more in our blog post and walkthrough video: buff.ly/olEF87q #PIDs #ResearchDataManagement #FAIR
