Fired up to serve alongside fighters like @chrisrabb.com who understand that we don't wait around for things to happen to us. We make things happen. Organized people beat organized money every time. Grateful to have Rep. Rabb back on the ground in Michigan to help get out the vote!

Your vote—your voice—matters. Here we have new evidence from scientific research that national politics impact sustainability on a global scale. A great read. Send to your legislators! @schiff.senate.gov @aoc.bsky.social @padilla.senate.gov @altnps.bsky.social iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1...

Good evening from the mouth of the Eel River. These photos look north and south along the south sand spit at Table Mountain. Two hours before sunset. All is well

Treason is the crime of betraying a state, nation, or sovereign, typically by attempting to overthrow the government, waging war against the country, or giving aid and comfort to its enemies.

Turkish bathhouses open early in the morning and offer free showers and meals to unhoused people, according to the post. Life is as fair and kind as we choose to make it.

What a great, nonviolent prank-protest! Click the video below. Fox channel shows a woman in LA cotume as Statue of Liberty with an abolish ICE flag, rollerblading away as agents give pursuit on foot. Hilarious

#Gardening Everything in this crockpot is from our garden!! Abundance

Life is not fair; humans have the capacity to make it more or less so. Repael the Social Security tax cap. People making 17600 per year pay the same social security tax as a person making 5 million per year. the social security system could be solvent forever

How donOLD tRump sees his MAGAit Supporters. Hopefully they will see how bad they were used, abused and lied too, soon.

Watch the post

Cities are unfairly labeled as problems. But we are holding people, youth especially, your people who you have failed to love and take care of. They were failed by families in other parts of this country

Behold my zumpkin! (Note to self, don’t plant zucchini and pumpkin near each other if you want pumpkin.) tastes like pumpkin, texture more like zucchini. Not hollow. #gardening

Working on values in my painting class. This acrylic grayscale will be the under wash for my painting of the cookie tin. #traditionalpainting #acrylicpainting #art

Deep monkey flower thriving in my pond.

I have a couple hummingbird feeders and when I sit on the deck, the birds swoop in to feed. Chirping and buzzing me in their fly by. Caught a couple phone photos today.

While listening to council meetings in Montreal, local mayor Sue Montgomery decided to knit in red when men spoke and in green when women spoke, when similar numbers of both attended. The photo shows an uneven scarf mostly red Day 1 results.... #WomensArt

There exist legitimate questions about the chemistry of contrails in high altitude emissions (despite the weirdness of HHS director). And alongside that, important questions about environmental justice.

My painting, The Pump House. Oil on canvas (2026). From my father-in-law’s stories of going to get water in winter. I loved that old roundhouse. He built it by hand. With no more than a 4th grade education, he ran a dairy farm and raised 8 kids and kept the farm #art #OilPainting #traditionalmediums

I would like to propose that we rename the species Homo sapiens to Homo pseudosapiens. We might hold the sapiens in reserve, against the day we potentially earn it. It is, obviously, aspirational rather than descriptive. #science #scienceandecology

A good local story about how massive real estate investment firms and property managers are making life difficult for tenants. *shouting into the hurricane* HOUSING IS A BASIC NEED, a right not a commodity. Profit out of housing @warren.senate.gov @padilla.senate.gov @schiff.senate.gov

My painting in progress. The pump house. Oil on canvass. What do you think? #art #painting #bskyartists #traditionalmediums

My first try at oil painting. Big mental switch from watercolor. #painting #art

He is not wrong. "There are reasonable grounds to believe that the reported 68 attacks that killed 223 people constituted crimes against humanity of murder under customary international law" - United Nations Special Rapporteur on U.S. Killing “Narco-Terrorists” at Sea www.ohchr.org/sites/defaul...

I met a banana slug on my walk today. Cradling in a birch tree, respite from the heat. The tree whispered in the breeze, all is well. All is well with my soul. #pnw #photography #ecology

The video shows a garbage truck doing and emergency dump of a load on fire. There are way too many many toxic and ignitable chemicals. These combine and react in unpredictable ways and can cause dangerous fires. We need to remove toxic chemicals from our production process and clean up toxic waste

The numbers don’t lie

I know there's not much of a chance newspapers will print this one but you can't have a word like 'ballroom' and expect me not to do a joke about it.

Anybody know what happened to mitch McConnell?

Two photos of river otters in southern Humboldt Bay.

So the quarry has literally built a dam across the river. Cut off fish and a family of river otters from water. County: They have a permit, so *yawn* Me: don’t they have to file EIR? County: I haven’t looked at that paperwork. but anything they do affects wildlife, ya know. 🤯🙄 #ecology #science

I went to pick up my meds at the pharmacy today. The copay was 15 cents. It literally cost more to collect and process the copay than the MediCare contract made. Then I went to a medical appt and a nurse spent 20 minutes confirming my contact info and entering data. We can do better

My painting. I think it is done. #pInting #traditionalmediums #art

On the phone again with health insurance. Been 20 minutes on hold. Last week was 1 hour11minutes. “We are currently experiencing a higher than normal call volume.” They keep on using that word. I do not think it means what they think it means. To paraphrase Inugo Montoya.

You know what’s worse than regular health insurance? Worker’s Comp. And worse than that? Hospitals and medical facilities that refuse MediCaid and Medicare. Worse than that? A CONGRESS working for insurance companies. 😖 Tear it all down yesterday I’m not done ranting yet.

Work in progress on a new painting. Trying acrylic washes with glycerin to add flow and slow drying. #artists #painting #traditionalmediums

Good morning! Today is a good day to dissent Go make trouble y’all. A photo of my chickens enjoying a dirt bath. it’s like chicken morning coffee hour

Learn from the bees. For screen readers, the post is a bright yellow poster with text that reads, “When bees don’t remove a defective queen, the entire hive collapses.”

A sample of garden harvest for today’s lunch. It’s nice to be my own trusted source. #permaculture. #gardening

the deep monkey flower is thriving. Very hard to propagate from wild but here’s the results!

Good grief, this hits home.
