Later: “But if you saw me beating eggs like that, you wouldn’t just take the bowl out of my hand and start doing it for me.” “No, but I would make fun of you and ask you wtf you were doing.” “Right. . . Also, I know how to beat eggs.” “Correct.”

Anti-trans Democrats are spreading poison when we can least afford it, during elections in this ongoing fascist takeover. As a strategy, it’s a recipe for failure. As a moral stand, it’s reprehensible. PS I’m the father of young trans woman and I’ll never forgive anyone who makes her life harder.

Everything Is Terrible, appendix: Things You’d Never Even Thought Of

Adam Bonica@adambonica.bsky.social

Once mass spam texts were made legal, younger donors vanished, leaving a grassroots fundraising machine that subsists on squeezing vulnerable seniors, some of whom give hundreds of times a day. It’s a horrific model. Consultants get generationally wealthy, and the party hollows out its future.

There's an entire start-up economy now based around basically doing the "see? food!" bit, where you come up with an idea that is gross and inhumane and get a billion dollars for it regardless if it actually works or offers anything to the world. You get funding BECAUSE it's evil!!

Billionairism is psychopathy but also maybe we’ll get a happy ending here and the war dogs will devour them and then escape to a farm in Canada

*NEW* Colossal Biosciences’ Ben Lamm and Anduril’s Palmer Luckey team up on a new startup to genetically engineer war dogs for the military. Warhound comes out of stealth at $1.2B valuation For @forbes.com with @iainmartin.bsky.social and @mhunterhart.bsky.social www.forbes.com/sites/amyfel...

"That is shit you do not get over" + 1 million. You/we survive. I love women but lots of women defend the wrong people, and the generational trauma is so real.

This is why you never ever hire Acme Productions to do your campaign ads.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

The bombshell campaign ad that Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy intended as an October surprise against Democrat Amy Acton has indeed exploded. Early indications are that it did so in Ramaswamy’s own face.

"I really felt like it was my duty," Ebro Ahmed, 27, told ABC News. "Also, too, it’s kids we’re talking about, you know. Even if I were to die, it would still be worth it."

Seen this story all day today. Every headline says "27 year old Minnesota man..." I have yet to see one with the headline that the man was Somalian. The most maligned and denigrated group in Minnesota www.goodmorningamerica.com/news/story/2...

I’ve watched this three times now and I still can’t believe it’s real.

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

The only thing I really care about instilling / encouraging /supporting in my students is curiosity and imagination. They’ll forget most of the literature I teach them. But hopefully they will retain some sense of the value of PAYING ATTENTION and ASKING QUESTIONS and HAVING FUN and CARING ❤️

[RETURN OF THE JEDI] Worse, the bravado is gone from Han Solo; this sad palooka is so callow he seems to have regressed. Leia, older and sleeker now, looks at him affectionately, like an indulgent mother who has learned to live with her son’s dopeyness. (1983)
