finally considering going back into umad, but for some reason there is a non zero chance im in there on samurai. game weird

I think it's time for me to just bite the bullet and hold myself to a schedule. Too many things I WANT to be doing and too many "what you doin" dms, just gotta make myself a "this is what I'm doing, if you need me call dibs on a time slot".

the new xiv drama is once again reminding me xiv players might be the dumbest mfs on the planet. i have seen this exact interaction like 10 times. >"this is why we need to just ban all mods, this happens all the time" >(someone replies with OP using mods) >"Well not THOSE mods, just all the others"

it finally spawned on my feed again, so i now get to spread further propaganda about one of the funniest things ever produced by uma. an opera about opera written by opera, starring opera

Goo morn, starting tomorrow evening at 8:30 eastern on my twitch we will be starting the lol beer league. this is a weekly circuit match against other teams in the league. this is not a return to regular streaming, just a small event you can tune into on wednesdays for a few months.

I wanna talk about this, because this is something that i have also experienced and have opinions on. This will probably be a bit rambly, and you will probably disagree on somethings i say here, but I do just want to just air out some thoughts while its relevant.

Its the internet, and you genuinely just have to be ready for haters, its just the unfortunate truth. There are 2 primary points i want to make here on this yap, 1, content creators. You are not owed viewership. Doesnt matter how much time/money you put in, people are not required to watch.

2, community. Please just remember smaller streamers are still people trying to make the dream work. Please dont kick them while they are down, give people a genuine chance should you get the opportunity to. All this may seem obvious, but i see this going wrong at least once a week. its frustraiting

When your viewership is that low, this can happen alot, which leads you to 1 of 2 reactions. You either blame the algorithm or you blame yourself. The actual answer on that one is both, but the backlash you will get if you say that outloud is rough. I do have to callout the community here.

Being a small streamer sucks ass. You get ZERO respect from anyone, and you are viewed as a failure from onlookers. Not everyone gets this treatment, obviously, but look at the original tweet, having the human reaction of getting demotivated got them accused of victim blaming, which doesn't help.

However, viewers do not owe you their time. Its incredibly easy to just like a post, its MUCH harder to justify watching a stream, especially if its a game you dont really care about. I feel this goes double for Vtubers, where people can see "oh, boobs, i like those" and keep it moving.

Because of this fact, when you see yourself getting perchance hundreds of likes on a post, then NO ONE showing up for a stream, that shit SUCKS for the mental. The "correct" thing to do is to just keep the stream going, and stream as if everyone is watching...but that is also completely unrealistic.

If i remember how youtube livestreams work, if anybody clicks the video, it counts as a view in post, meaning people could have jumped in for a few seconds or a few hours and counted as 1 view. Twitch works kinda similar, you can see total traffic and average viewers in post.

Their numbers are pretty similar to how mine were at a certain point, meaning they probably averaged 4 - 7 viewers per stream. If you are grinding away, and in their case dropping MONEY on a model, those numbers do weigh on your mind ALOT. The mental hurdle of "only 5 people are watching me" sucks.

Now to be clear, i don't know Sui Gekka, like at all. I dont want this to read as a hate piece on them, because I simply dont have an opinion on them. Going through their stream history on youtube, they were averaging about double digit views on streams since they started, which, to note, is fine.

a back to back heater, gaze on me, 1. WAY more umas sing this than expected, 2. MUCH better than the 1 year anni song. i just want to know what fucking magic topro/ope/doto/haru pulled to gaslight ayabe into being a singer for this.

first 2 ranked games back on stream, cant much better than this. the xayah game was the most anti-adc comp ever and my top laner in the aurora game was doran, so uphill battle in both games, but clearly we are still ballin

i know this doesnt seem like that much, but the fact 3.4% of players DID get this achievement is fucking insane. people LIKE this fucking game, please play granblue relink if you havent, the game is SO fucking good.

back with more uma music, ms victoria was added early, and it is, as expected one of the best song in the game. It only plays after champions meeting, the actual tryhard game mode, and whoever wins gets the main singer spot, so yeah there are stakes. the song also just kicks ass.

people are acting surprised about the xiv mobile EoS announcement, but even from the initial showcase, the one question everyone asked WAS "who is this even for?" As cool as it was, it couldnt answer that question.
