When my Mother in Law was with us on these trips to their hometown of Bitonto, they’d often be arguing and throwing their arms around! 😂 But me I just drove with this song playing in my head!

Look, I’m just a Steering wheel attendant, but I get a bad feeling about the Israel 🇮🇱 Iran 🇮🇷 thing, even more so with Donald Drumpf building up his 🇺🇸 forces in the region. Not WW3, but more a Libya Iraq kind of ending, i.e in tears. What a shame Ukraine 🇺🇦 has been sidelined over this. 😢

Up as a memory elsewhere, I was about 14 there. My dad was working as a truck mechanic in a transport yard. At the back was an over grown railway embankment, and lots of rats 🐀 used to scuttle about. He gave me a 4/10 shotgun and paid me pocket money for each rat I shot! Not this gun of course! 🤣

Found myself a bit of shade for the night here in the Aube (10) near Troyes, opposite a puppy 🐶 place! Quite a bit to do to get home to the Ardèche 🇫🇷 tomorrow, but then it’s 2 weeks off. Roadtrip to Southern Italy 🇮🇹 starts on Sunday, but it’s always a pleasure as a tourist in a car. Bonne soirée!

I’m currently here at a well known DIY chain shop in Brie-Comte-Robert (77) 🇫🇷. But this time next week I’ll be going for an early morning swim on the Tuscany coast in Italy 🇮🇹, before a shower and a leisurely breakfast! Then onwards to Naples! Buona Giornata a tutti as they say in those parts!

Very disappointed to see some scenes of fighting in London, BEFORE any march ffs! Braverman has stoked all this! Heard shouts of ‘you’ve let your country down’ at rank and file Police Officers? My eldest son is a Policeman, that offends me as his dad. Wankers the lot of them (those that shouted it).

I know I’m not on here much, and I hope you’re all doing well by the way! Tomorrow I’ll be at the 11th November ceremony here in my French village as I am every year in this get up! Regimental tie, small pin badge as a Northern Ireland veteran, and that’s it! I represent my country here in that way.

More or less set for the trip down to Bitonto 🇮🇹 where my wife is from. Tomorrow I just wanted a scenic route up in the Alps, and a night at altitude (first village in Italy). Sunday night another hotel for a night near Modena. Have to say I enjoy road-trips in a car with my wife, and no trucks! 🇫🇷🇮🇹

Tigro, he’s one chilled out cat 🐈! 👍🤣 Got him from an SPA last December, but he’s adapted very well to life here! 😂

Just been speaking to someone back on X as it’s known. He’s been visiting the Harz mountains in Germany 🇩🇪, which is close to where my German Nan was from. That was taken in the Harz mountains in 1974! I can’t believe I dressed like a Dutchman back then when it came to shorts and socks ffs! 🤣

Proof of the rock n roll lifestyle I lead here! I’ve got to peel those spuds 🥔 and I’m under orders to do so! There is an apéro on the go though, whisky 🥃 for my wife and a white wine for me. Tigro the cat 🐈? I’m not sure what his role is here! 🤣
