Trying to concentrate on the good and fight the bad. So you can guess how that's going.

Went to the matinee of Theatre Calgary's production of Little Shop of Horrors. Hands down the best play I've seen in Calgary ever. What a terrific performance.

That was followed by dinner at the Zipbap Korean restaurant in Marda Loop. The food is oh so good. The staff are a joy. #yyc #bibimbap

Just finished listening to "A Trade of Blood", Robert Jackson Bennett's third book in his Shadow of the Leviathan series. The book narration by Andrew Fallaize is fantastic.

And I continue to just phone these in. #Inktober2026 #inktober Day 5 Smack, and Day 6 Ogre.

OMG. Not Sass Jordan. She was such a great singer and a wonderful person. Racine is the number one album on my road trip list.

#inktober2026 begins. It's barely a doodle but you've got to start somewhere. I might add an apple to tomorrow's drawing. #apple #inktober #day1

Went for a nice walk thru Ralph Klein Park this morning. On the one hand it would be nice for a path that leads deeper into the marsh area. On the other hand it's great that the birds don't have to put up with humans walking deeper into the marsh area. #yyc

Great day in #YYC for a bike ride. And I got to watch the Calgary Fire Department practicing rescues off the back of the Glenmore Dam. Neat-o

If you finish off a roll of aluminum foil, or saran wrap, and you don't make trumpety sounds through the empty tube, who are you really?

Coyote VS Acme is probably the most fun you will have at the movies this year. It's great. A pox on anyone that was involved in trying to shelve this gem.

I'll (try to) resist the temptation to complain about the state of the world, and instead just say how blessed we all were to have Dolly Parton among us.

I've read and enjoyed a couple of Kate Quinn's historical fiction books. So I wasn't sure what to expect from her non-historical "The Astral Library". It's a fun and very satisfying read.

Just finished "The Healing Hippo of Hinode Park" by Michiko Aoyam. And it wasn't until near the end of one of the stories that I realized it directly related to what I was going through. So epiphany achievement unlocked. Also, it's a good book.

Busy busy. What quick thing can I make for supper. Oh, I bought Pinty's this week, I can have chicken wings. Oh look, they gave me extra sauce. Bonus! Oh, it's all sauce. The whole damn box.

Hey #yyc I know you all want to get to your Canada day activities but you don't need to drive like maniacs to get there

I have a deep dislike for people that finish an ebook and hang onto it until the hold expires instead of returning it to the library. That's top level dog-in-a-manger stuff.
