Some people think Atheists don't believe in anything. And they couldn't be more wrong. Nonbelievers are no different than everyone else! And while Atheists are diverse as a demographic, there are many things we do believe in:

Like America, and patriotism and the 4th of July. Which is why wanted to join in on the fun and march in the Bristol Parade this year. Unfortunately, the Bristol 4th of July Celebration Committee (a group that's not affiliated with the town yet receives taxpayer dollars) rejected our application

An amazing day at University of Rhode Island for the Coming Out Day event! We had lots of great conversations with students & faculty and made some new friends. Thanks to the URI Gender & Sexuality Center for hosting!

Wow! What a fantastic time we're having here at Pronk: Providence Honk Fest! We've been honored to return every year for the fun filled combination of art, music, activism & Indigenous Peoples. And we've gotta say- Every year it gets better and better! What a great state we live in!

We get some angry comments on our posts. We're sure that the folks who go out of their way to tell us that we're Commies, and that we're in league with "Big Pharma," or "anti-Christian," are just innocently leaving their expert opinion.

Far-right legal group lodges federal complaint against North and South Kingstown’s transgender student policies “They’re going after trans students in Rhode Island, and while it’s a small population in our state, it is one of many groups being targeted and continuing to be severely harassed.”

We're not anti-Christian, anti-Muslim or anti-religion. We’re anti religious extremism & anti bigotry. The Ocean State isn't in danger of falling under Sharia Law any time soon- It's in danger of falling to Christian Nationalists.

What are you doing on Constitution Day? (9/17) We'll be at the Temple of Music, protesting & reminding some heinous unwelcome visitors that the Constitution is still valid in Rhode Island! Democracy not Theocracy.

On 9/17, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association comes to RI during a New England tour of Theocracy & Hate. Join Rhode Island Atheists and all Rhode Islanders of good conscience in protest. Let's show these folks that their crusade is not welcome in the Ocean State! 11AM. Roger Williams Zoo.

Imagine the amount of resources sunk into Clinic Protests. RI voters made it clear that abortion is here to stay, yet the same local churches & partners keep trying. Ironically, the same religious groups funding sidewalk crusaders are now paying child abuse settlements for the RI Catholic Church

At RI Atheists, we're more concerned about what people do in the name of their religion. We'll defend people's freedom to believe in Jesus, Thor, Allah, Odin or whatever makes them happy. But the second that belief infringes on the Constitution, Religious Freedom or human rights, we have a problem.

Rhode Island Atheists is looking for dedicated Atheists, Stalwart Humanists & Other Awesome Nonbelievers to be part of the adventure! Message us today and let's see what new directions we can take you on! Can't be physically present? You can make a difference from the comfort of your home! Let's go!

On this day in 2017, Governor Raimondo signed the bill banning conversion therapy in Rhode Island. This disgusting religious practice, disguised as therapy, engages in psychological & spiritual torture designed to change a child's sexual orientation.

If you had a negative reaction to this post, you should know that “Arabic numerals” are the same numeric characters you have been using since Kindergarten. Oops RIA is an educational nonprofit; full of people who love history and the proliferation of knowledge.

RIA returns to the New England Witches Guild Annual Halloween Parade & Festival! Atheism is not a religion. Atheists are united solely by a non-belief in gods. While most of us don't believe in witchcraft any more than we do any deity, we support the freedom of others to practice their traditions

Attention Atheists! Greetings. We're a nonprofit organization operating in Rhode Island- the birthplace of religious freedom and separation of church & state. We're a small state, but our ambitious little nonprofit has accomplished some big things since we were established 3 years ago.

As an educational organization, we recently conducted a special America 250 educational campaign on our states history, legacy of secularism and role in our country's founding values. So when we came across a Christian Nationalist pseudo intellectual trying to rewrite history, we almost ate our hats

And when we heard about his interview with a popular atheist podcaster, The Bible Says What we just had to talk about it on our own podcast. It's still new, but we've had some great guests since we launched. Don't miss it! We broadcast live this Sunday at noon EST! Youtube.com/@RhodeIslandAtheists

How accessible are your local governmental bodies for people who can’t be at meetings in person? We released an update to our 2023 report, where we look at city and town councils' and school committees’ policies. Spoiler: There hasn’t been much progress.
