on some new meds so I'm feeling extremely lethargic and with a persistent headache, so I may be going on a brief hiatus. We'll see how I feel this Sunday but there's is a decent chance I won't go live at all next week.

Btw today's stream might end up being 6 hours of Phasmophobia because I'm horribly addicted. I've never really had the courage to play solo games until I started streaming it, and I'm rapidly rediscovering why I loved it so much back in the day. Sooo... sorry.

Oh yeah, the schedule is now officially Sun-Wed-Thu, 5pm-9pm eastern time. I want to stream sooner than that, like maybe 2-6 but that's too early for me and I tend to have doctors appointments around that time. Like today, in fact.

I actually love being an obscure creator. I love making videos and I can basically make whatever I want while I learn all the software. I love that my streams have such little viewers that I can have a TTS puppet speak out the entire chat with no spam. Not sarcasm, I'm genuinely having so much fun.

I had someone join and question why I had two models instead of one. I'm controlling my main one with my face, the other is controlled by my mouse and talks via TTS. It's like having two streamers. That also tells me nobody's really done it like this before.

Btw that same person asked why I'm not using a custom model. I literally just told them "I'm poor." I can't afford commissioning a $2000+ model just to stream to 2.5 average viewers. If I get a decent following then I'll do a real debut, but for now it's this fuckboy rabbit and his goth fox.

I'll have to make a small animation of her moving her head while talking and then trigger it with MixItUp, but she's done! I just have to set her up on my desktop and we're good to rock and roll tomorrow.

there is also the option of getting a capture card and running all of this on my laptop but for now I'll just have to deal with this insane amount of software bloat lmfao

The goth mofu model I used for like 2 streams is coming back as an onscreen chat TTS. Right now my chat is pretty much dead for most of the stream so I have it set to talk for every chat message. She sits in the corner and follows me mouse, it's great. Also, it's not AI.

It was a free model, so it's not quite my mascot. If I'm being honest, it's a big titty lure to get people to stick around a bit longer before clicking off the stream.

anyway I'm now getting around to looking at and setting up non-AI bots and potentially different TTS systems that tie into a small mascot that speaks chat messages.

Funfact I'm pretty sure social media is actually a terrible way to advertise your streams and I'm most likely not going to be announcing when I go live or upload a new video for now since it just adds extra steps for no real benefit. It's nice for announcements and being weird on main though.

Apparently Master Chief Collection includes ODST and 4 as well, so I'm adding those to the high priority list. The only Halo in that collection I've actually played and finished was Reach, so I'm putting that in the low priority list alongside Unreal Gold and Metroid Prime Remastered

I'm making a list of games I want to play on stream. It's a mix of games I've played before and games I haven't. Mostly, I think Elden Ring would be a good first time playthrough, since it's my kind of game and I think it might be hard to find people who haven't played it before.

Other popular games I haven't played before but know I would love are Halos 1-3 and Dredge (playing on stream now). Then there's Unreal Gold, which I would play just to remake my original Let's Play from 2009.

Hollow Knight is another game I know a lot of people would love to watch a first time playthrough of, but I just didn't like the game when I played it by myself ages ago and I don't think I would want to play it on stream.

I can't believe I spent 6 years mulling over whether or not to be a Phasmophobia streamer, thus being late to both Vtubing and being a Phasmo creator, and yet my shorts on this game are doing decently well. I'm quite stoked. I love Phasmo and it's way more fun playing solo games on stream.

Perpetually halfway to getting affiliate status lmao. I'm just missing the followers, I think people are finding me just fine but choosing not to stick around because of my voice. If there wasn't such a stigma around voice changers then I'd use one but tbh I think a model change would work better.

I want to do song covers but I don't have a place to do it that won't A) sound like doodoo ass and B) bother my parents. ... except for the one place where I can sing as loud as I want... which is my car... ...so now I just have to find the song I want to cover that won't be too difficult.

My biggest disappointment is finding out my audience is 18-24 and none of them are going to have seen that fuckass mesothelioma financial compensation commercial. Man. At least I used the Microsoft voice that all of those Instagram reels and tiktoks use.

Tried to record one single line for a short. My dad's bird has been freaking out for the past 30 minutes and is showing no signs of stopping. Man I'm really going through it today.

Wow that short getting 1k views in one day is absolutely insane. The only videos on my channel with more than 1k views were from 14-17 years of people randomly stumbling upon them.

I don't know what's going to make my stream special yet. I've seen streams that literally nobody else is able to replicate either due to proprietary tech (Koko's viewer TTS, Zen's voice TTS, Neuro), specific personalities (Crelly, Northernlion, Jerma, Vinesauce), and accents (Jax, Fraiki).

I've rewatched some of my vods and cried laughing at certain things I did. I've cried laughing at a certain edit I made in a video that only two people watched. I don't know if getting a gimmick is more important than just getting eyes right now.

But... I also don't know if I care. With nobody watching, it means I can upload whatever I want or play whatever I want. I have no audience to appease except myself and the 1-4 friends who tune in sometimes. So I can upload what makes me happy.

I think my stream might be special in that I don't plan to try all that hard. Maybe I could be a place that people come back to to relax or get advice. I'm not good at anything but I learn really really fast and get obsessed with things easily.

I really wish I liked playing WuWa on stream, I'm so addicted to the game off stream, but the moment I hit that start stream button I'm falling asleep bored at the wheel wishing I was playing it on my own time. I imagine the same thing would happen with FFXIV and gw2 if I ever decide to stream them

On the other hand, Control feels like it's twice as fun to stream than to play by myself. I love that I can show off the stupid little stims that overtake me when I play those kinds of games. I love the Cube joke and shooting the green computers and throwing chairs at enemies.

I imagine gacha games would be way more fun to stream when I get bigger. I also think I missed a good opportunity to grow a community by having played FFXIV already. I love watching new people stream their gameplay.
