πŸ“° New Broad Street Bulletin πŸ“° A full breakdown from the Sixers' opening-night win at MSG against the Knicks! Joel Embiid's mobility, the transition game, Nick Nurse's chain look, LeBron NOT being from the West Coast, the 4-on-3 late-game execution, etc. All you can get!

Long season and all, 1 of 82, etc... but hard not to be excited about that Sixers performance on both ends. They have really never played together and they got better shots than the Knicks the whole game.

We spent all offseason talking about the benefits of under-center play-action, which is an automatic sack to a blitzing linebacker, and then the second they let Tanner just sling it out of the gun, he marches them right down the field πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

If that aggressive concussion spotter in Chicago does not pull Jalen Hurts from the game for that red zone trip, Andy Dalton would probably be the Birds' starting quarterback this week instead of not on the team.

The decision to not kick that ball out of the end zone is legitimately fireable. That is the one thing you could not have done. Absolutely miserable game management.

Kick it in the end zone. 35 yard line, no timeouts, play everyone on the sidelines on defense. Make a tackle. Nick Sirianni does not give you enough to coach a team that makes a mistake like that.

Feels like last week's game. I know how hurt they are, but you just cannot keep giving the ball back to the other team in two minutes and letting their very good offense get another crack.

The Jags walk into the end zone on a play-action boot. And then Jalen Hurts has a dude immediately in his face on a play-action boot. A perfect summation of this season.

πŸ“° New Broad Street Bulletin! Free Edition! πŸ“° πŸ¦… The Eagles offense, setting new lows πŸ’ The Flyers kinda stink to start the year πŸ€ Hey, at least the Sixers scrimmage was cool πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Pretty good, Cavan Sullivan 🦁 Poor Penn State fans

The Eagles have had 15 offensive possessions in the third quarter this season. 12 of them have featured a three-and-out (one of which was a turnover on downs).

People will look at the fourth-down decision, but I think that game showed Sirianni was right to try and score a touchdown there. If you go three (or four) and out on 5 of 6 second-half possessions, you are putting your incredibly banged-up defense in an impossible spot.

I know they were banged-up today (so was the Rams defense), but Sean Mannion, Jalen Hurts and the entire Eagles offense should be embarrassed about how bad they have been in second halves. Not even competitive.

The Eagles are playing pretty well, all things considered. Can they just play Zach Ertz more if Johnny Mundt is gonna miss blocks? The guy is only supposed to be a good blocker!
