International breaks can GTF. We needed Ballard and Brobbey today and we don’t have them because of these unnecessary games. #safc

I’m quite flabbergasted by this. I thought VAR was quite right - it was a foul, he was the last man, regardless of the perceived speed of the pass by people in studios. Why on earth did Ballard’s crazy red for touching an opponent’s hair stand along with a three match ban? #safc

Oh what a surprise, Shearer doesn’t think a clear foul on the last man was a red card. Get your hat on, man. You know the one. #safc #motd

Quite like on their excellent Girls in Peacetime want to Dance, I like Belle and Sebastian when they’re having fun. The real fans don’t though! #totp

The Call my Bluff repeats on BBC4 is fast becoming my favourite show of the week. Love the friendly battles between Patrick Campbell and Frank Muir.

Finally caught up to the mile race in Athlos and will switch off afterwards. Far too American for me. Usually love extra athletics on TV, but there’s no excitement in this whatsoever.

Got to laugh at the fact JJ Gabriel has just had his testimonial season for me at Man Utd in my current #cm0102 save. Whoever put him in the database got his professionalism stat dead wrong!

Ach, we deserved a point there. 2-0 feels so wrong. Typical that HE would score and never a penalty and ref card in a million years. Ah well, expected nothing, but annoyed now. #safc

My very earliest TV memory - late 1980 / early 1981 I reckon. I think I felt sad for Gideon due to the other ducks bullying him.

Gideon - macabre riverbank escapades of extended-necked Tim Brooke-Taylor-voiced dubbed French Children's ITV duck who proved his worth by being a bridge for some mice or something to the accompaniment of analogue synthy folk horror theme tune. timworthington.org/2022/04/05/l...

Hoping that #safc are getting exactly what they want out of this window without the usual ITK bods knowing about it. Plenty surprises last year (albeit not last minute) and, touch wood, none of our lads are off anywhere.

5 Simpsons quotes that live in my head for some reason 1. Dental plan! Lisa needs braces. 2. Can your grandfather do this? Hey! Hey! Hey! Aw… 3. Lemonade? Please. 4. You’d better believe that’s a paddlin’ 5. Don’t be afraid to use your nails, boys!

This is a wonderful wee story. I stammered from around 8 up until my mid 20s when it just kinda disappeared. The telephone fear is real. I once psyched myself up for a fortnight to phone Boogie Times in Romford to ask if they could send me a record I just couldn’t get locally.

Saw Kool and the Gang tonight - tight as a mosquita’s tweeter. If they aren’t in the Glastonbury legends slot next year, I’ll eat my dinner.
