What did everyone see in January? Surprisingly strong month for me. Lots of great stuff. Bone Temple, Send Help, and Dead Man’s Wire were the highlights for me. 🎬📽️

It’s also great for keeping notes on particular theaters and auditoriums. Sync works via iCloud, so multiple devices are supported. The iPad and Mac layouts leave a bit to be desired at the moment, but improvements are coming. I don’t keep a drop of data.

It’s also not just limited to A-List movies. You can track what you see at outside theaters or excluded from A-List films. Here is my current upcoming movie screen with entries for IMAX 70mm showings of Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises at a non AMC location.

Disappointed to see all these theater chains spending money on this format. I’d much rather have more Dolby and IMAX theaters. I’ve never seen a ScreenX picture that looks compelling. They usually look like a mid size main screen with side screens that look bad. 🎬📽️ www.cnbc.com/2025/07/30/c...

AMC Scream Unseen did us dirty. We thought we were getting Together. Instead we got a Tubi Original that somehow made it to the theater. The first hour and twenty minutes were a total snooze. Just one lame cliche after another. Then the last 15 minutes went off the rails and it was kinda awesome.📽️🎬

If you are confused about why the early ticket sales for #odyssey are such a big deal, here is a big reason why. All those early tickets are large format #IMAX theaters. They will show the full 1.43 image. 2.39 is likely what a typical theater will show. 1.9 for smaller IMAX.🎬📽️

Here is a nice example from Dune as well. If you want to see the full frame of the movie look for 1.43 aspect ratio #IMAX theaters. 1570 film equipped theaters are ideal, since that is how it was filmed. Dual Laser GT IMAX will also digitally project the entire image.
