The last time I saw Democrats. Republicans and Independents in one room working together, they were trying to escape a riot

Rebecca Bennett@rebeccabennettforcongress.com

When Democrats, Republicans, and Independents gather in one room, we remember what’s possible when we work together. So grateful to Senator @corybooker.com and our local candidates for bringing everyone to the table last night! Just 13 days until Election Day. Let’s keep this momentum going!

Gladwell is also missing context. Three largest US police forces: NYPD - 34,000 officers. Chicago - 11,800. LA - 8,550. Notice the drop off? LAPD has been notorious for substituting technology (think helicopters) and intimidation for staffing. LA is an outlier, something Malcolm might recognize.

Nixon’s fate makes it clear that overlooking Trump’s crimes is rank opportunism, dereliction of duty and moral cowardice. Thus the Watergate investigation and prosecution must be recast as a partisan conspiracy against the President and his party. MAGA’s update of the Lost Cause.

If “shy Trump voters” were too embarrassed to back Trump in past polls, why wouldn’t we expect them to be too embarrassed to admit having voted for him now that it’s all gone off the rails? These are people who don’t want to be scoffed or laughed at or judged, especially by the face in the mirror.

Another way to think about this is for most voters Trump policies land like termites, bad for the foundation, but competing with other life issues for immediate attention. The price of fuel is a hornet swarm on the front porch, there every time you open the door and impossible to ignore.

Thanks, George W Bush, for reminding us you’re a hypocritical bastard and war criminal. You’re still working to support Trump enablers. That makes you one regardless of your stand on Ken Paxton. If you had any integrity, you would publicly endorse Talarico and not lift a finger for any Republican

Likewise telling that it is not a crime to pay people more money. It is, however, a violation of the billionaire code and Ballmer’s fellow owners demand punishment.

Of course the crime the rich person is being held accountable for is paying an employee too much and thereby risking the profits of his fellow cartel members. Because billionaires only punish other billionaires for threats to their own net worth. Genuine accountability or mafia discipline?
