I feel like I've wanted forever for there to be a new podcast that's like The Magnus Archives. But there isn't anything. There are other horror podcasts, but I've never found one that's anywhere near as good. The Lovecraft Investigations is fun, but it's not the same sort of thing.

One thing that’s probably a problem for a lot of people is a difference between what you anticipate and what actually happens when you do stuff. You end up in these weird loops.

I think part of the problem is that I’m addicted. To this. So when it sucks, I keep doing it. If I wasn’t addicted, and it sucked, then I would just, like. Go “this sucks” and do something else. But somehow that’s beyond me.

Hm... my attempts to play rpgs with my friends have largely fallen through. Should I consider the option of playing with online strangers. Maybe... maybe...

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

I've got to make sure I don't respond to any posts right now. I'm clearly in an argumentative mood and I don't want to piss people off. (well. I do want to piss people off. That's kind of the problem.
