Going to briefly yes/and this and say Bouch’s goals added per 96 (ASA) was in the Top 15 based on his minutes, not too bad given: - He was hurt early in the year - The team attack was rebooted when his first striker transferred out in June

Final weekly roundup of the #USL-C and #USL-1 regular season on some of the standout U-22 performances. - Charleston's Colton Swan's back in the goals - Two #CF97 loanees shine, Sam Williams heads to playoffs - Loudoun's Abdellatif Aboukoura ends on high www.uslchampionship.com/news_article...

Ben Olsen will be coach in Houston for six years. Meanwhile there’s a nonzero chance DC United will be on its 4th permanent coach with 0 playoff appearances to its name over that same period

🟠 BREAKING: The Houston Dynamo has signed head coach Ben Olsen to a contract extension through the 2027-28 season. Olsen's previous deal was set to expire in December. In four seasons: - Dynamo won U.S. Open Cup 2023 - Playoffs in 3 of 4 years www.nytimes.com/athletic/771...

Recovering from an all day youth soccer tournament in doodoo weather and it’s wild to me that Loudoun is going to get almost 20 goals from their striker position out of 2 guys that won’t be there at the end of the year

JORDAN FARR GOALKEEPER GOAL🚨

Minor quibble here, in that Color of Money is a Scorsese movie Tom Cruise happens to be in. A better choice of Tom Cruise movie that highlights his scene chewing of the last few years might be Doug Liman’s American Made (an underrated one imo)

Tired: DC’s been lapped by one DMV soccer organization… Wired: …and could be fully caught up to by another in the next 12 months

Joseph Lowery@joeclowery.bsky.social

DC United are doing the unthinkable in MLS — they're on pace to miss the playoffs for the 7th-straight year. Oh, and two of their castoffs are fueling MLS's hottest team. For @backheeled.com, I wrote about DC, a talent factory for everyone but themselves ⤵️

Nice try lads but I’m in the exurbs with no microphone for a reason

DC summer moves for Nono and Dozzell involved TAM Allocation money available dropped from $2.1m to $800k Initial confusion over Nealis having an option for 2027 but apparently moot

Major League Soccer today released club roster profiles for all 30 MLS clubs as of September 15. This also includes each club’s remaining 2026 General Allocation Money. www.mlssoccer.com/news/major-l...

Dude goes from seeing a trophy lift for the Shield next month to a race for 9th place, DC United are monsters

You can drop an organizational context stipulation in all the live long day, but contrast Ben’s window comments now to the latter 2010s, or to his successors, for a fun experiment

Bayou City Soccer@bayoucitysoccer.net

Ben Olsen on the transfer window, "I'm happy with it." Said they don't know when Foster will be here but he expects tough decisions on lineups in 10-14 days. On losing McGlynn, says "you don't replace Jack, he's a special player. There are things we are gonna miss from him."

Of their 29 contracted players, DC United has five players on loan, a sixth on the injured list, and 4 homegrown players that have played a total of 43 minutes

The thing is they can still clear money off the cap, and that’s OK (see below), but this front office, as comprised, doesn’t have and hasn’t earned the benefit of the doubt, ever since they thought Santino Quaranta would be an adequate 10 after a quiet offseason

Gregory Roche@gregoryroche.bsky.social

It's become clearer that The DOCTOR is only involved in some of DCU's deals and that Dave Kasper is doing more than just advising these days.

DC offloading Caden Clark to Seattle and an international spot for combined pocket change with no inbounds? Cockroaches and Dave Kasper will survive nuclear winter

Burgundy Wave@burgundywave.bsky.social

Inbox: Colorado Rapids acquire a 2026 International Roster Slot from D.C. United in exchange for $125,000 in 2027 General Allocation Money (GAM). Presumably this sets up the three incoming signings.

Sequels are apparently back on the menu boys

Tom Bogert@tombogert.bsky.social

Sources: Rumors suggesting DC United are close to a DP deal to sign Meriton Korenica from CRF Cluj is not true. He is not a target at the moment.

Here’s that Gabriel Segal update you were all waiting on

José Mauricio Umaña@joseumana.bsky.social

Interesting portion of the presser as Weiler says midfielder Caden Clark is set to leave D.C. United. He did not provide an update on Gabriel Segal, who's been out since the start of the year with an ankle injury. #DCU (Q from Denis Gomez)

How DC’s summer window could have gone vs how it appears to be going

Tom Bogert@tombogert.bsky.social

Sources: Red Bull New York pulled out of the deal to sign Caden Clark at final step. Deal was agreed and travel being planned... but RBNY changed their mind. Odd one. D.C. talking with other clubs about potential Clark departure before Wednesday's deadline
