Saw some "furry is pay to win" discourse in the wild, and like... what do you think the Win Condition is? That sentiment makes me raise a big eyebrow as to some people's motivations for engaging in the fandom at all.

Sometimes I wonder if the reason I prefer Mastodon is because, as a morning person, I tend to be active around the same time as a lot of Fediverse users (since that leans more to the Europe crowd than the US one).
