In the span of 3 weeks I: โžก๏ธ Went to see a movie w/BFF while fighting a cold, โžก๏ธ Got a job offer I never ended up hearing back from again, โžก๏ธ Had a chill but fun birthday celebration, โžก๏ธ Had a MAJOR scare in which I thought I lost Simba the day after my birthday (don't worry, he came back, he's ok), โฌ‡๏ธ

โžก๏ธ Finished & posted 2 artworks + 2 fanfic chapters in under a week after making a major decision about how my workflow on my OC project is going to go for the next few months, โžก๏ธ Had the worst sickness of my life I'm still recovering from. So that was my October, I guess. ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Got these as a self B-Day gift yesterday! Although Peri's still my fav, during my recent SU rewatch, Lapis and Amethyst's respective arcs have become so relatable and inspiring to me. I've really grown to appreciate them a lot more than ever. Plus I adore their Movie/Future designs, so I had to x)

I love Simba with all my heart, but I really need this tropical depression to go away quickly, so we can have rainless nights and he can sleep in my backyard again, and stop waking me up 3-4 times every night to go outside, which he can't, because it's always raining. ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ˜ช๐Ÿ˜“

I know I know, it's part of the package of being a cat owner, but WE HAD A SYSTEM that worked for both of us (he got to be outside which he's clearly missing and gets fussy about at night, and I got a full night sleep), and I think we're both looking forward to going back to it. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜“

Elemental is still just a charmer. I'm glad the film was able to find the audience it has because it really is a sweet film and the colors in it are amazing.

One of the biggest reasons The Wild Robot really has such a strong heart really is thanks to its voice acting. Everyone here really helps bring Chris Sanders' script to a whole new level and it's just such a gut punch. I can't wait for the sequel.

It doesn't matter how long I've had Simba for, it still fills my heart with so much love and joy whenever I see him sleep belly up. It's the best feeling to know he feels so safe and peaceful in my home, especially next to me on my bed. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’› Plus his lil tummy is just so darn cute and fluffy >w<

NEW TOH CONTENT YAAAAAAAAAASSSSS!!!! I'm so excited for this!! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ

We've been looking forward to sharing this news for a long time. We're making a graphic novel! The Owl House: The Long-Lived King Written by me and the amazing @mikkicrisostomo.bsky.social Illustrated by the incomparable @dindu99.bsky.social We're so excited to tell a brand new story.

I'm still unsure if I'll be able to get a physical copy of this (darn shipping โœŠ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ข), but I'm gonna try to. Fingers crossed I can get one somehow. ๐Ÿคž Regardless, I'm SUPER looking forward to this story, I miss the Boiling Isles gang. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’› (Also I see the little Huntlow there, hehe ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š)

I'm honestly pretty neutral about the news of Sebastian playing Harvey Dent since I don't really care about DC, but I've been LOVING seeing the (long overdue) outpour of love and appreciation towards Seb from people online it brought on. That's right folks, show my man some love!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Œ

It goes without saying that he's gonna kill it in the role, as he always does. And I am honestly curious about checking out his scenes. I genuinely hope the best for him in his new DC chapter. ๐Ÿ˜Š I know Batman fans will NOT be disappointed, Dent is in good hands.

Medusa is one of those Sony Pictures Animation films that always fascinates me knowing they tried to work on it twice in the last decade, and they never got it off the ground either time. A massive shame cause the art I've seen is great. Maybe one day, though.

Simba, thank you for choosing me as your human this year. 2025 had many ups and downs in my life, yet you managed to fill it with unforgettable moments of laughter, mischief, and unconditional love. Here's to many more years with you. ๐Ÿ’›โœจ๏ธ

He did a total 180 too, because now he's more attached than ever. ๐Ÿ˜… He also spent his first night inside our house and slept on my bed with me. IDK if he'll sleep all night every night or just while he continues recovering, but regardless, I'm so happy to have him back and see him healthy. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’›

Great news: I'VE BEEN FORGIVEN!! ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ’›

Mom & I spent the whole weekend very worried about Simba, but thankfully, he's slowly but surely improving. Today, he entered the house on his own to eat, which is huge because he didn't even want to step in after his surgery. He also ate on his own and a larger amount.

He still won't stay inside too long and does put his distance with us after a while, and he still doesn't quite have enough strength to leave the backyard like he'd want. But progress is being made, and I'm happy about it. Here's hoping he'll return to a more normal state soon.

Something that worries me about Simba's post-neuter recovery, besides him eating and drinking so little and still feeling weak because of it, is that I think his trust in me got affected. The procedure was here in the house, so he's still scared of staying inside, (cont. โฌ‡๏ธ)

He can't leave the backyard but has tried to, and while he doesn't flinch at my touch, he's not leaning into it or want to stay close to me like before. At some point he turns away. It's honestly heartbreaking. Can fellow cat owners confirm if this is temporary and/or give tips to rebuild trust?

One year ago today, this little ray of sunshine showed up at my backyard door, stole my heart, and made my life brighter. Simba, even though you're currently convalescent and cranky at me, I hope you know how much I love you & how grateful I am to have you in my life. Get well soon, sweet baby. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿˆ

He's been sleeping most of today. I've honestly been feeling worried (hence why I'm posting this so late) but the vet tells me him being lethargic and distant is normal & he should slowly improve as the days pass. I'll continue praying for his recovery and that he'll soon let me cuddle him again. ๐Ÿ’–

UPDATE ON THIS: Despite Simba being an absolute warrior and fighting the anesthesia as hard as he could, the doctor was able to extract the tooth! And... he also neutered SImba. ๐Ÿ˜… We didn't plan that at ALL, but the vet said now that he was under meds was the perfect opportunity to do so. (โฌ‡๏ธ)

Since Simba's never ridden in the car and we don't have a carrier, I contacted a vet who makes house calls so Simba can at least remain in a familiar and safe environment and doesn't try to run away. Here's hoping the vet can help him and that everything will turn out okay. Prayers appreciated.

My poor boy spent all afternoon loopy and trying to get up. He must've gotten SO scared, but considering all the fights he used to get into and the risk of acquiring deceases, I do think this will be for the best in the long run. Hopefully in time he'll get used to being a full-time house cat.

Here are pics of: 1) him right now (he's starting to calm down, but he needed a LOT of anesthesia so the vet says he'll need time to get out of it fully), 2) the extracted tooth I got to keep, and 3) the scratches he gave me while I held him to get his shot. ๐Ÿ˜… (I'm okay DW haha)

Two nights ago, I heard some cats fighting, and yesterday morning, Simba arrived home with a protuding tooth and some blood in his mouth, and spent all day feeling quite miserable. He recoiled every time we tried to clean him, and we thought maybe the tooth would eventually fall on its own (cont. โฌ‡๏ธ)

But the tooth still there today, and it's clearly bothering him. He still eats, but he can't groom himself properly because the tooth is now sort of horizontal and gets in the way, and he's licking it constantly. In short, he's going to be seeing the vet for the first time today. (โฌ‡๏ธ)
