Well I don’t know about 1,000 years, or even a plan but MAGA and Trump seem to be doing a pretty good job of destroying America and so far he and MAGA are only a year and five months in post! I do agree that China is the beneficiary… www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

Iran is pushing regime change in the United States. Doesn’t matter much what Trump does, bomb the hell out of them, threaten, invade… all his moves lose him more and more votes in the mid terms. If he loses the Senate and the House, impeachment becomes a real possibility. Ironic, isn’t it!

No one’s laughing but a lot of us are mourning and reframing how to work with the US…..which means redrawing trade, defence, travel, research, tech and a raft of other dependencies as America moves from most favoured nation status to most unreliable.

Why might Europe say no? - Prevent senseless loss of life - Lack of a credible US plan - Dubious legal basis - Cost outweighs benefit - Very unpopular war - Eats into Ukraine efforts - Trust in US deeply eroded - Escalates ill-conceived war - Would prolong conflict - To discourage Trump

theguardian.comThe Guardian view on Europe’s response to the Iran crisis: damage limitation only goes so far | EditorialEditorial: The US-Israeli bombardment has once again underlined Donald Trump’s indifference to international law. A stronger EU can be a vital counterweight

The peril for the Monarchy to come: If AMW’s defence costs come out of the family purse and especially if he gets off, privilege and money will be seen to triumphs over justice. If the public end up paying, the value and purpose of the monarchy gets questioned as never before.

Incredibly lucky for party goers that the evidence of crimes has been so “tame” up to now given the whole idea was to blackmail the rich and famous. When do we get to see what is so obviously missing? www.yahoo.com/news/article...

The BBC is a committed competitor in the race to the bottom. The evidence is their normalisation of what would have been unthinkable even last year. In their eagerness to compete, they undermine truth. And as a global news behemoth, the damage done with each attention-seeking lapse is significant.

Trump has never been mentally fit. Demonstrating that many people are willing to ignore what they know if they think the outcome will benefit them. It’s the old joke: “Dr, my brother thinks he’s a chicken … We can cure that … No, we need the eggs!” www.thedailybeast.com/donald-trump...

thedailybeast.comTrump’s Cognitive Collapse Is Clear: PsychologistThe 79-year-old president’s nonsensical speeches and mental lapses are flashing signs of his “immense cognitive decline,” according to Dr. John Gartner.

I’ve heard this dreadful story about immigrants being eaten by swans. I was chased by a swan not long ago and I’m certain it wanted to eat me. British swans are hostile and out of control and something needs to be done about it!

Stupid Net Zero Energy, currently providing 87.9% of the UK's energy demand, and ruining Reform UK’s business model of selling nostalgia about paying triple for gas, choking on smog, and depending on foreign dictators to keep the lights on.

Look at how freely Trump is acting against whole communities that voted for him. Why? Because Trump will soon be cancelling elections across the country and implementing other sweeping powers to further dismantle the rule of law and democracy. We are days away from Trump 2 forever.

Nigel Farsage is offering an agenda that can only be achieved by breaking laws and putting more and more people in peril of harm just like his best mate Donald Trump has done in the US. A vote for Reform is a vote for Chaos.

Trump is making the unthinkable thinkable: The US defaulting on its debt. The consequences of this would be apocalyptic. In between it happening and thinking it could, expect higher interest rates and other recessional pressures. What Trump needs least now is uncertainty. Oh dear!

Big US tax cuts now would spook the bond market. His ham fisted spending cuts are shrinking the economy. His tariffs are about to kill the one thing he could tax: exceptional tech wealthy and profits. All while the world (inc US business) rewires supply around the US. POTUS is in a corner.

10% tariffs across the board; higher for steel, alu, autos AND a raging trade war with China …. This fire is still raging and I see no great cause for optimism. This self harm has only taken a slightly new direction.

Tariffs are an act of self harm so don’t expect all countries to follow. Seeking negotiations, acting slowly are the adult response. US travel and goods boycotts will likely ramp up in any case and taxes on US tech might be more to the point.
