Man, I'm salty. Kickstarter "help" scammers stopped using AI and began an email convo with an actual legit question an actual legit potential backer would ask. That sucks. Help combat this suck by being a real one! Back this all-trans Kickstarter (if able) and share (which you are able)!

Finally got my media server set up and now I get to do the real sicko adult shit of organizing a mess of movies, shows, and music into neat little folders and subfolders. Using MusicBrainz Picard to retag most of my music downloads and I'm making inappropriate noises of satisfaction.
Yeah. I think the important thing to remember is a lot of the hacking we know of in movies is really more of calling someone stupid enough to be fooled by a person claiming to be a Password Inspector. In this case, it's an AI assistant.
people are acting like this is about AI bots hacking into people's bank accounts but it's actually about people who have given their AI agents access to their computer on purpose
I'm sorry, but I don't think github and tech subreddits being flooded with vibe coded programs that won't work outside of the uploader's computer is living "near the digital frontier." It feels more like drinking sewage water and dying of dysentery before even heading out to the frontier.
Bill Gates thinks we need to prepare for roughly two decades of AI disruption, and he says this period could be so painful it might split society in two — between people comfortable living near the technological frontier, and those who reject it. Read, watch, or listen: buff.ly/5e6qf4M
I feel like this is the tenth time in the last few years where the tech industry tries to soft launch the return of phrenology
Researchers at Mass General Brigham in Boston have developed artificial intelligence models that they say can predict a cancer patient's biological age and chances of survival using nothing more than a single photograph of their face. https://cnn.it/4i5ERBv

CHASING CARS features a vulnerable, authentic voice, a friendship to rival any romance, and epistolary elements that explore what the protagonist struggles to say out loud. It is at turns both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Back this Kickstarter with an all trans team now!

Graphic Designer for this lady's production company. She was a famous fishing personality? Worst boss ever. I quit after a week and she wouldn't pay me the rate I did and instead how long she thinks it should have been. Anyways, her house burned down and I felt pretty good about that.
Metallica, the band who wrote "Disposable Heroes," which focuses on the military-industrial complex manipulating young soldiers into the meat grinder and "Leper Messiah" about religious leaders who exploit their followers' faith for money and power... Want you to know they aren't political.
"You should come to a show to avoid politics & not push political agendas!" Usually when this gets said? The person turns out to be an undercover red hat...you'd kinda have to be to make St Anger. share.google/m43xIJqrPPw5...
Yeah, this. I didn't realize just how much twitter was eating at my soul until I finally left it and felt the weight lift. I honestly don't understand people who are still on it.
I left X almost exactly two years ago because of the violent, celebrated rape culture that was dominating the platform. Two years later, I’m undeniably better off, and the culture around sexual violence at large is arguably worse. I believe X has played a serious role in that.
