10/26/2026: an extra hour of sleep is incoming this weekend… but will the Halloween forecast be more of a trick or a treat? We’re watching some cooler changes as we head into the weekend. #BayArea #NorCal #California #sanfrancisco

10/24/2026: Nothing says October weather like chilly mornings, dry & breezy at times and rain chances increasing later next week. One item, however, that is more unique = the level of high tide flooding we are seeing this year. #BayArea #NorCal #Sierra #SanFrancisco

10/13/2026: Wild temp swings ahead first between our chilly mornings and Summer-like afternoons to wrap up the week followed by a cool down early next week which also brings rain chances #BayArea #NorCal #California #SanFrancisco #Sierra

A bit of Winter🏔️❄️ & Summer ☀️🌡️: Should see some snow showers over the higher elevations of the Sierra Monday followed by mid to late week warming that will bring upper 80s and 90s back to the valleys ahead of next weekend. 10/11/2026 #Sierra #BayArea #NorCal #snow

10/10/2026: Dangerous surf, tidal flooding along with dry and breezy conditions will wrap up the weekend. What’s left of #TropicalStormRachel will bring impacts across interior #SoCal into Sunday

10/5/2026: Our countdown to cooling down stands at four more days… and with less clouds in the way inland will probably see warmer temperatures for the next couple of days. #BayArea #SanFrancisco #NorCal #California

10/3/2026: “Hot-ober” continues… plan on hot temps inland through midweek. Windy and cooler conditions return late week and into the weekend (fire danger risk after hot/dry wx) with possibly interesting changes late next weekend from the tropics. Stay tuned. #BayArea

9/26/2026: the mornings are certainly feeling more like Fall and we’ll see a fairly cloudy and mild wrap up to the weekend. Temps get back to Summer-mode midweek with dry breezes along the hills. #BayArea #SanFrancisco #NorCal #California

9/21/2026: Summer ending cool and the first full day of Fall will be hot inland. But don’t get too used to it… cooling returns Friday and into weekend with rain to our north. ⛅️ 🌡️ 🌬️ ⛅️ #BayArea #NorCal #SanFrancisco

9/19/2026: A cloudy and cooler finish to the weekend will be followed by a temperature roller coaster briefly back to Summer-like levels by midweek. Then it looks to be another cool down, arriving in time for next weekend. #BayArea #California #SanFrancisco #SanJose #NorCal

9/15/2026: Our final days of Summer will likely feel more like Fall. We have a chance of night/am drizzle at times w/ temps mostly in the mid to upper 80s inland into the weekend along with cool mornings. More interesting changes could be lurking down the road…stay tuned on that.

Based on expected wind direction, more smoke from the #LucasFire is possible into the Bay Area Monday. The fire has been a little more active on the eastern and southern sides over the last 24 hours at slightly > 4,000 acres as of midday Sunday. 9/13/2026 #BayArea #SanFrancisco #Sacramento #NorCal

Turning @oraclepark into an @exploratorium lab for “Weather Day” this week. A few fast facts: leave liquid nitrogen displays to the experts, lead Exploratorium scientist Hannah Weiss’ dress was all weather icons and for a moment, we created the coolest place in SF on the hottest day of the year 🥵

9/13/2026 Some warming is expected to start the week but not to the levels (hottest of the year bayside) we saw last week. Try and breezy conditions will likely keep fire danger elevated across interior NorCal, esp mtn areas through midweek. #BayArea #SanFrancisco #NorCal

9/5/2026: Dangerous surf through Labor Day Monday followed by the return of warmer temps, esp inland Tropical clouds bring the mugginess and some shower chances midweek. Stay tuned. #BayArea #SanFrancisco #NorCal #California

There is at least a chance of rain in some part of the Bay Area every day through Friday. SF has a decent chance (34%) of picking up at least 0.1”, according to the weather service. There is a much lower chance of more significant amounts (>=0.25”) depending on the strength of systems/fronts.

8/31/2026: September will be starting off much cooler than average with drizzle and showers at times. We’re also tracking wildfire smoke and weekend rain chances to our south with a connection to the tropics (stay tuned on that)

September sizzle will have to wait… plan on things feeling a bit more like Fall along with some rain chances for parts of Northern California approaching midweek. #BayArea #NorCal #SanFrancisco #SanJose #California

High-based convection t-storms will bring an increasing fire danger concerns for new starts and convective wind gusts, sudden wind shift potential on existing fires near Big Sur. 8/27/2026

8/27/2026: Moisture streaming away from former TS Iselle bringing shower and isolated thunder chances into Friday. #CAwx

8/25/2026: valley heat returning locally but not nearly as hot as what #SoCal will be seeing. How long with cooling later this week we could see a chance of some showers from a weakening tropical storm…stay tuned #BayArea #California

8/23/2026 the conditions that allowed the #HawkFire to grow aggressively to more than 15,000 acres in 24 hours is a reminder that we’re entering the peak time of year for intense wildfires as live fuel moistures reach their low point with hot, dry and windy conditions leading to red flag warnings.

Mostly upper level smoke from the #TimberFire back in the skies near San Jose. Daytime-like dry conditions at night aka nocturnal drying (dry, warm, windy) gave a boost to wildfire activity & smoke. Areas in the (esp South Bay and East Bay) may notice some smoke at times with hazy skies 8/23/2026

8/22/2026 update: mostly mild north, and hot temps continue south. Although we should more inland temps in the 90s to wrap up the weekend, hotter weather by comparison continues in Southern California. #BayArea #SanFrancisco #SanJose #Oakland #SoCal
