As a Muslim who has been accused of dual loyalty and asked to denounce everything from ISIS to the Iranian state, I breathed a sigh of relief that I think I’d been holding in for like two decades watching this.
This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.
This will be forgot about in a week but are the margins for shipping oil greater than 20%? Because if not then those ships are not moving either way.
Trump says the US military will serve as mercenaries by taking over the Strait of Hormuz and charging everyone a fee to transit equal to 20% of their cargo.

The worst people in the world are coming together to determine how we access journalism. Nobody wants this. Research shows people don't want to get news from chatbots and that they can fuel misinformation. @ziggywest.bsky.social @mayaschenwar.bsky.social and I wrote about the need to fight back.
Trying to imagine how this will look as a Lego in like 3 days
NEW: Growing fears of food shortages on USS Tripoli & other US ships in the Middle East. This photo is the kind of meals now being served. It was sent by a sailor to her family. Families are now trying to send food parcels to the ships. Full story 👉 www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...
The Trump Admin is dumb enough to think you can negotiate peace in a single day but to see journalists also think that is really depressing
Marathon talks? Compared to what? It took years for Obama to deliver a detailed Iran deal. The Trump admin are packing it in after 20 hours. (H/T @bgrueskin.bsky.social)
I am open to using AI in video but every time I do it’s slow and looks bad or prohibitively expensive because I have to re-roll the prompt 4 times to get something. I’m not surprised a film festival is getting AI entries but for real video work that pays money it’s not that useful
made this point before, and it’s one the fanatical anti-AI luddites on Bluesky should reckon with

Trump is holding an entire nation hostage. But, somehow, the rest of the world continues on. The markets chug along. Congress continues to be in recess, with dissent confined largely to social media. It is hard not to feel like we have failed some critical test of the bounds of our own humanity.

You wouldn’t know it from listening to corporate Western coverage, but thousands of Iranians live on Kharg Island, which Trump is currently threatening to occupy. The US simply renders them invisible.
Right wingers explicitly use the letter J (for Jew) and the NYTimes covers for them. Meanwhile if anyone on the left or even center left criticizes Benjamin Netanyahu or Israel it’s instantly called antisemitism.
NYT: young people at CPAC are "J-pilled," defined as slang for "skepticism of Israeli influence" Then a few grafs later they quote a groyper who says "at least 60 percent of the young people here" are fans of Nick Fuentes, who wants to deport all Jews from America www.nytimes.com/2026/03/30/s...
For the first time in his life Donald Trump might face a consequence. I have bad a feeling the democrats will magically find the votes to bail him out and keep the killing going
SCOOP: The Pentagon asked the White House today for more than *$200 billion* for Iran war supplemental, sources say Some in WH think Congress won't support b/c it's so big Will tee up giant battle in Congress My last story for WaPo: www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...
This is the exact thinking that the Bush admin had regarding the Taliban. No deals, only total victory. 20 years later the US took the deal that was on the table since 2001
Trump: "There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before. 'MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!).'"

Enraged, sad, frustrated, but life feels too precious to fall into despair. We have to do every single thing we can to stop the US from inflicting this kind of violence onto Iranians and the rest of the world.
Looking back, the craziest insight of “The Three Body Problem” was that there are people among us who are fundamentally anti human. Crazy that people feel comfortable talking like this in public. I would destroy every LLM in the world to save a single 20 year old human.
SAM ALTMAN: “People talk about how much energy it takes to train an AI model … But it also takes a lot of energy to train a human. It takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you eat during that time before you get smart.”
Omg the “it’s illegal to peel a banana at a daycare” lady funded ICE
ICE is a taxpayer funded agency built on family separation, racial profiling, abuse, and lies. Cruelty is carried out in our name. Democrats who still voted to fund it: •Davis (NC-01) •Cuellar (TX-28) •Gillen (NY-04) •Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) •Gonzalez (TX-34) •Golden (ME-02) •Suozzi (NY-03) 1/2
Besides how depressing this is, does this company have a single lawyer working for it? The back of infant medicine will say “don’t give to infants unless you ask a doctor” because it turns out babies are very fragile!
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?" Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."
Can’t they just charge the people who think they are dating it before they take my tax money? A nickel every time you want to talk to your computer girlfriend
