Their memorials are history. Ours are political. Because as always, there are two sexualities - straight, and political. Two genders - male, and political. Two religions - Christian, and political. Two races - white, and political.

Pretty much sums up most PPLs working lives, I suspect it is also why socially valuable work is payed so badly, PPL want to do something useful with their working lives, & therefore must be punished with shitty wages & conditions...

Westminster couldn't run a tap IMHO. The core problem is constitutional reform, there should be sensible regions with elected councils (PR, + local councils), political input in to Policing, Health, Fire, & water happening at this level, most trains & some buses...

...(buses shared at local level with bigger conurbations, trains shared with intercity nationally Eng, Wales, & Scot). All these services should be run day to day by professionals, with strategic planning initiated by professionals & funded & planned by the regions...

..., TBH Waterschappen having elections is a historical artefact & doesn't work well, particularly given that it's not as democratic as advertised, farmers & industry get structurally more power, this is being tackled, but too slowly...

The Welsh Political Forum (which I have been doing for years on Failbook) is now live on Bluesky... Probably up to full speed in a few hours :)

Welsh Political Forum@welshpoliticsforum.bsky.social

Hi. 1/2 The Welsh Political Forum has arrived on Bluesky. Much the same as on Failbook this serves as a place for news and current affairs in, about, or of relevance to Wales... All suggestions welcome, let me know if you see anything you find relevant, or have suggestions for media sites to follow.

You are up to date.
