Witkoff to Putin: "You are a humanitarian ... and I salute that, I commend you..." A boot-licker says what? Perhaps Witkoff mispronounced "inhumane" because his tongue was hanging out, I dont know, but Putin is literally the opposite of a humanitarian.

If I hear "thoughts and prayers" for the victims and families of yesterday’s school shooting from this Republican administration, I am going to lose my mind. 1/

It took an entire week before the backlash forced the president to cancel that plan, and on the very same day, the unthinkable (but, sadly, not unexpected) happened. Again. 3/

So until reasonable laws are passed at the national level, this gun culture supporting Republican admin can choke on their thoughts and prayers. They mean as little to me as the anguish of the parents and families in the 26 school shootings this year means to them. 4/4

One week prior to the tragedy at Silver Rail Elementary, this administration announced its plan to livestream an execution by firing squad. They claimed they were sending a message about consequences, but they ignore the fact that it would further normalize live shootings to some people. 2/

Staff: Our audience will hate this! Execs: But we'll release a statement about him calling us a failing network and then paying us lots of money to air his ad. Teehee 🤭 We the Audience: Yeah, about that. It's OUR money he's paying you. Pretty sure that's not gonna land like you want it to.

rawstory.comMS NOW in turmoil after new Trump ad deal: 'Our audience is going to hate this'Staffers at MS NOW, which has had to navigate President Donald Trump's White House ban, were blindsided to learn the network plans to air one of his taxpayer-funded ads as soon as Thursday, according ...

He's already rigging the election with district gerrymandering, USPS manipulation, and ICE intimidation, but just in case all those layers aren't enough to guarantee republicans will win the midterns, he's now icing that corruption cake with bribery. Scared of voters much? He should be!

Why are we paying Congress to NOT work? Probably the same reason we've been paying a certain senator to ghost (literally) us for 2+ MONTHS. I thought Trump's supposed to be a brilliant businessman, but what business wouldn't fire employees who failed to report for work for weeks on end?

Every time he refers to America as hotter, all I can picture is the proverbial frog in a pot of water. Yes, we're hotter because the water is near boiling, so maybe he should focus on fixing actual problems instead of what bodies of water are named.

It’s not even debatable anymore. He’s Trumpshit insane.

He lost in 2020 because he wasn't prepared for the mail-in vote. He won in 2024 because the mail-in vote was weakened by fElon's interference. Knowing this and how massively unpopular he is now, he's upping the ante by eliminating mail-in voting altogether.

American democracy is under siege…

Pop Quiz: Why was this man deported to his country of origin after one day in detention when others are held for weeks before being deported to places they've never been before? A. He has the right skin color B. He has the right nationality C. He has the right political beliefs D. All of the above

Tea leaves? Crystal ball? Oracle? Who knows, but her prediction was certainly on point.

Octavia E. Butler’s novel “Parable of the Talents” depicts a dystopian United States run by Christian Nationalists. Their slogan is “Make America Great Again.” Published in 1998, many years before Trump’s political career, but this poem in the book prophesied Trump. (Poem from @zymplex.bsky.social)

If the petulant toddler cosplaying as leader of the free world can unilaterally rename Lake Ontario, then Canada should get to rename Lake Michigan. I mean, fair is fair.

First Dolly Parton. Now Tim Curry. There is something somehow comforting in knowing the man who portrayed an iconic transvestite was welcomed into the afterlife by the woman who was an iconic LGBTQ+ ally. May they both rest in love and peace.

The fact that this guy has $100 million just lying around for him to spend on opposing a wealth tax is the definition of tone deaf politics.

Funny how fuel costs, grocery prices, the Iran "excursion," the Epstein files, the corruption, the grift, the insanity of it all - none of that bullshit is on recess just because they are.

Guess what "we the people are the boss" and is time to show our elected officials that! There are far more of us than them!

Don't tell me this wasn't the plan all along: ▪︎ Levy tariffs he knows are unconstitutional ▪︎ Corporations go along with it ▪︎ Promise consumers a payday ▪︎ SCOTUS strikes down tariffs ▪︎ Corporations get payday ▪︎ Consumers get squat ▪︎ Lather rinse repeat with a different law (Graphics credit: MS NOW)

John Cornyn (R-TX): There's nothing we could do to rein in Donald Trump. Here's a suggestion: Go reclaim your forfeited spine, stand up for yourself, and put the toddler tyrant in time out. It shouldn't be at all difficult if you're willing to prioritize the Constitution over your personal gain.

tRump: "It's called TALENT, and I have it, and they don't!" Ladies and gentlemen, this is Talent, discreetly dropping a new ball for the man who cheats at everything.

After six years, F47 still won't admit he lost in 2020. Now, the man who receuved a presidential commendation from F47 for his work during Covid-19 is being attacked for his work during that same global pandemic. After six years. Why now? 1/2

Because it serves his strategy for the midterms: Distraction. Deflection. Redirection. With no substance, no policy, and no plan, he knows the only way he can retain control of Congress is to hide behind a perceived enemy. Today, that enemy is Fauci. 2/2

Doesn't he have something more, oh I don't know...PRESIDENTIAL to do today? Dealing with the escalating costs of pretty much everything comes to mind. And aren't we in an "excursion" with Iran right now? Honestly, you'd think there could be more productive ways for him to earn his keep.

As a Dodgers fan, it pains me to say this: The Guggenheim Baseball Foundation owns the Dodgers. The DOJ is investigating the foundation's chairman, Mark Walters, for possible financial misconduct. It'll be interesting to see if his legal issues disappear now that tRump has that World Series ring.

Ladies and gentlemen, RFK Jr. is a literal cyclosporiasis shit show and wholly unqualified to serve as US Secretary of Health and Human Services. We all know who we can thank for his appointment and for his confirmation. Vote them out.

Confirmation hearings are a fucking joke. Every single nominee lies. Bondi did. Patel did. Gabbard did. Hegseth did. They ALL blatantly lie. They sit there in the hot seat, hand to heart, and swear under oath they will perform their duties independently and without fealty to the president. 1/

Once confirmed, we're stuck with secretaries who bend the knee, kiss the ring, and capitulate to the president's every whim - legality, morality, and ethics be damned. Blanche will do the same thing (he already has), so why even bother going through the motions? 2/

Why perpetuate the farce? Why sanction committing perjury before congress without consequence? Our government is a joke under this regime. It's government of the president, by the president, and for the president. We the People are shreds of the Constitution he tramples under his Florsheims. /3
