Still looking for a game to play this weekend? I've uploaded all the files of the Blue Dungeon to the world wide web. I made the game for GOGBOT's symposium, organised by Planetart and Sickhouse. Happy weekend! buff.ly/nKIpO5K

FInd me at GOGBOT's symposium this Saturday! I'm running The Blue Dungeon, a small world-building tabletop game that I wrote for #GOGBOT, that questions the future of social media in a medieval high fantasy setting 😏 More: buff.ly/GgEF2Jh

Nastia and I hosted our post-chaos knowledge-meets-airhorn quiz at many places, but The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science was a first last Thursday. ⚡ During IS HET KUNST OF MAG HET WEG? we quizzed the audience on artists who turned websites, surveillance footage and memes into art pieces.

Ars Electronica was last week, and it was a blast. Model Collapse was visited bij 9000 people! Thank you Tetem for the incredible production - as well as Telemagic's Cyanne van den Houten and Ymer Marinus. Pictures by Tom Mesic

Telemagic's model.collapse is currently on show at the @noorderlichtphoto.bsky.social Biennial in Groningen. ✨ model.collapse is a multi-dimensional archive containing texts and visuals on AI's birth, design, needs and future.

Ever came across those "creepy smart doorbell compilations" on YouTube? @lauraodbeke.bsky.social wrote about their lore in her essay "The Misanthropy of Doorbell Horror" for Someone is at your Front Door. Read it at:

Lees: buff.ly/Xw9ETRU

.zip is officially an association (vereniging) ✨ It feels very official now!

A smart doorbell just for your cat? Or one with an adjustable camera-arm... or what about a smart doorbell that compliments you while you walk by? --> Some of the concepts created at The Smartest Doorbell workshops at @publicspaces.net and @waag.bsky.social on June 13&14. More info: buff.ly/szaSmfa

Telemagic's model.collapse is at @noorderlichtphoto.bsky.social Biennale, Groningen, July 13. A multi-dimensional archive about AI - while an AI librarian guides you through this 3D and 2D digital environment in search for artifacts.. Amazing work @cyannevdh.bsky.social and Ymer Marinus <3

Can you own a "responsible" smart doorbell? @zeno4ever.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy & I built one. DIY tutorial: open-source hardware, accessible software. Photos + Github repo online. But making your own raises questions about "responsible"...

Two weeks ago I launched "Someone is at your Front Door" at PublicSpaces! 20% of Dutch homes have a smart doorbell and the numbers are growing rapidly. We're constantly quoting "1984", but love this surveillance gadget. WHY?? someoneisatyourfrontdoor.com

It's officially live! "Someone is at your Front Door" is an artistic research on the smart doorbell. -> someoneisatyourfrontdoor.com 💥 Many thanks to @lauraodbeke.bsky.social, @simoonhermus.bsky.social, @zeno4ever.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy, @danhf.bsky.social, Stimuleringsfonds & CBK Rotterdam

What would a smart doorbell look like if it was designed with a human-forward mindset? Build the prototype of your dreams at this continuous design lab. On show during: Public Spaces Conference at Pakhuis de Zwijger - Fri 13th 10:00-18:00 Hyperlink at @waag.bsky.social - Sat 14th 14:00-20:00

Such an incredible week at Onassis Stegi last week! Cyanne is currently an artist in resident in Athens and I was invited to co-host .zip's Ghost Hardware workshop with them. Participants used old tech trash from streets and flea markets to create buttons, linking them to Processing. 🔘

THU MAY 15 - 19:30 - 21:30 - .zip, Rotterdam Crocs as smart doorbells?? The smart doorbell is everywhere, but sucks as a privacy-forward, security-promising product with shitty manufacturers. We can do better, come craft, discuss and patent the smart doorbell of your dreams! buff.ly/bTUYsu3

.zip's April news letter was written by @cyannevdh.bsky.social and features this really funny testimonial by a dustmite moving out during our spring clean. 🧼 Read the latest & subscribe here: buff.ly/1MiiaGv
