Inland Northwest CubeFest thread! First draft was a 2-0-1 🏆 in @andy.luckypaper.co’s Take Five. Really enjoyable cube. Had some long grindy games but managed to win twice after drawing round 1 with this BWr control deck. #mtgcube

Sunday morning draft was a 2-1 in Kill Your Grandpa losing a close finals to a sweet 4-color wizards control deck. The goblins on the bottom right were all last picks/ditches. What could have been!

Finished off the event with yet another 2-1 in The Second Hand. At least I’m consistent! Had a great time! Thank you to @janemckinney.bsky.social for organizing and @goblingathering.bsky.social (and others whose handles I don’t know) for judging!

Second draft went 2-1 (with a bye) in Middle Child. I think I got lucky to get a bye and win a match, my average card quality was low despite having some really good ones like Jitte. I took out Kiln Fiend after round 1.

California Cube Champs thread! First up was a 2-0-1 🏆 in The Promised Land, one of my favorite cubes. Great Academy/Tinker deck with (pre-flipped) Conqueror’s Foothold to rebuy win conditions. Picked up my first ever draw on Hedron through.

Day Two started with a 1-1-1 result in Tiny Cube, a desert cube where you play 30 card decks with physically tiny cards of CMC three or less. I just needed to untap and attack with Phlage in my draw. And my loss was to Thassa’s Oracle also while I had a lethal Phlage attack on board.

Final draft was a 2-1 in Norritt Cube with Jund stats and removal. This low powered environment with old jank cards was pretty fun. My curve was a tad high. Overall not my strongest event but nothing to complain about and had an amazing time. Thanks to @joe-cube-anderson.bsky.social and the judges!

Next we have a 2-1 in The Salt and Pauper Cube. Deck was just okay, I didn’t lean heavily enough into cards that make material or generate value. This deck needed a Battle Screech or Triplicant Spirits.

CubeCon thread! Day 1! Loved both cubes! 2-1 in the Prequel Draft with UW control in Bourbon Cube. 3-0 in the side event with GB in Curated by Kiwi (cube list is a secret so I won’t post my deck). #mtgcube

CubeCon day 3! Locked up top 64! 2-1 in Mono-red with a cool Weapon Manufacturing/Goblin deck. 3-0 in Samwich’s Peasant with RG trample. 3-0* (finals opponent scooped to save us time) in Good Clean Magic in the top 128. UW fliers is nostalgic for me.

CubeCon Day 2! 2-1 in The Legend of Bloodwake Atoll, a desert cube, with UR cycling. 2-1 in Innistrad to Eldrich Moon: the Golden Era of Standard, with rW aggro. 1-2 in the side event in The Floor is Lava (start with Sibsig Ceremony).

My top 64 draft of #cubecon2025! Eliminated last year’s champion in the first round of A Study in Harmony but lost the next one. Drafted a pretty mid bant enchantress deck that had 4-5 cards off theme due to lack of playables. Top 32 is still great, what a fun week! #mtgcube

Slightly late CubeCon main event day 2 post. 2-1 in TLDR and 3-0 in El Classico. Finished off the day 3-0 in my top 128 draft of Six Drops where I picked depletion lands over any other card in the draft. #mtgcube #CubeCon2025

Day 2 of CubeCon, and the first two main event drafts. 2-1 in both my own cube and Lavender Desert (amazingly designed). Then 3-0d the Late for Dinner side event in Cascade Cube with affinity. Fun day overall! #mtgcube #CubeCon2025

First couple of CubeCon drafts in the books! Lost both finals which stings but still a solid day overall. Played Omnipresent Imposters and The Ball Pit. Interestingly only maindecked one imposter. Had a super tough matchup vs control in draft one, and died to onboard effects in the second. #mtgcube

Just got 2nd at Washington Cube Champs so figured I’d do a thread despite having never posted on here. First draft, 3-0 in Brawl Partners Cube. Swapped around my commanders as needed but Tamiyo + Phlage let me grind out the finals. #mtgcube #WCC

11-1 and 2nd seed going into top 8 is more than I could have wished for! The Top 8 competitors were all super nice. Won the quarters vs mono white by going over the top, and the semis thanks to fumigate out of the sideboard against a bigger UG deck. Finals loss to mardu control. Grats to the winner!

Third draft, 2-1 in the bolt cube where you start at 3 life and have a 25 card deck. Lost to reanimator. Fatal Push and Cut Down don’t help much against Eagles of the North. Helion Crucible was great.

Fourth draft, decided to audible at the last second and choose Data Generated Vintage since I was confident in my ability to at least 2-1. Went 3-0 with a middling Naya deck thanks to Gut cheesing some wins.
