Note to Elon Musk: Mars lacks 2 very important security layers that Earth has (a very large moon and a strong magnetic shield). You won’t survive on Mars, Elon.

Ironically, the mail service reductions under Trump are hitting hardest in rural areas, which remain his biggest base of support

Three days after the August primary, election workers in one Washington county went to check for late mail-in ballots. They expected no more than a few dozen. Instead, there were more than 500 — each a vote that wouldn’t count.

Great midterm closing message -- you might be paying a lot more at the pump, but Exxon, Chevron, and the other oil companies are making bank.

Standing up for our constitutional rights and winning. The West Virginia AG sent subpoenas to environmental orgs (including Sierra Club) alleging that their climate advocacy was somehow deceptive. When SC sued, the AG withdrew the frivolous subpoena apnews.com/article/west...

NEW AD: Have you seen these anti-Talarico attack ads? Elon Musk paid for nearly all of them. The world's first trillionaire knows if he drags the most corrupt politician in Texas across the finish line, Ken Paxton will owe him everything. Elon Musk: Texas is not for sale.

Interesting tidbit from this interview with MAGA Pollster, Rich Baris. He said that most Republican voters were unaware of the facts about Trump and cronies' rampant corruption, since conservative media doesn't cover it. Once informed, they were outraged. Keep pounding! 2/

JD Vance has apparently calculated that his best chance of becoming president is getting the 2028 GOP nomination (probably correct) and his best chance to get that is by being the worst human being possible (likely correct too). Making it easier, that "lane" seems to align with his personal views.

This is amazing: the Republican running for an open congressional seat in MN left the AI prompt on his website (since deleted, I think). "The President is not popular so all messaging should be focused on local politics and needs"

Senator Raphael Warnock: "Believe me when I say Mississippi has the ingredients of our win in Georgia, and then some. I’m also pushing the Democratic Party to invest more in the South. I think the Democratic Party fails to invest in the South at its own peril.” @warnock.senate.gov 2/

Cross-posted from the other place: @rokhanna.bsky.social comes out in opposition to the permitting bill, noting that "It would be tone deaf if Congress makes it easier to build data centers right after an election with bipartisan rage against shoving them down the throats of local communities."
