It is the start of the fifth inning, and Jackson Chourio has two more hits than the Rays.

The Brewers spent a lot of yesterday’s workout shooting fly balls toward the roof at Trop, which can play tricks on fielders who aren’t used to the white backdrop. Bauers: “It never got easier for me when I was playing home games here.”

Welcome to the World Series workout day, where Brewers Brice Turang and Aaron Ashby learn The Trop has real stingrays … and their own stadium has a brewery.

You wouldn’t know it watching him now, making playoff history with 15.2 scoreless innings of relief, but Aaron Ashby wasn’t always so peaceful on the mound. How the Brewers’ bullpen force, motivated by failures past, learned to find calm in the chaos: www.foxsports.com/stories/mlb/...

In Game 4 of the NLCS, the Brewers trailed 4-0 early and erased the deficit by the fifth. In Game 2 of the World Series, the Brewers trailed 4-0 early and erased the deficit by the sixth.

Jacob Misiorowski: 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 3 K He recorded at least one K on his four-seamer in each of his 30 regular-season starts. In the playoffs, he has failed to record a K on his four-seamer in two of his three starts. Still, this start was his best of the three.

World Series Game 1 pits Jacob Misiorowski, 24, against Nick Martinez, 36. The former is the NL Cy Young favorite w/ a 37.9% K rate and 100+ mph FB. The latter, who revived his career after four years in Japan, has a 15.1% K rate and 92-mph FB. Both All-Stars. Helluva sport.

After the Dodgers’ three-peat dream turned into an NLCS nightmare, Miguel Rojas addressed his teammates, thanked them for changing his life and let them know this was it. Whatever comes next for the Dodgers’ aging dynasty, change is ahead: 🔗: www.foxsports.com/stories/mlb/...

foxsports.comThe Dodgers' Three-Peat Dream Became An NLCS Nightmare. Now What? The Dodgers' chase for history ended abruptly but emphatically in an NLCS sweep by the Brewers. Now, what comes next for their aging dynasty?

Keep going back to this, but the Brewers faced the defending back-to-back AL Cy Young Award winner, the reigning World Series MVP, another two-time Cy Young Award winner and a No. 4 that would’ve been a No. 1 in some playoff rotations… …and won all four games. Remarkable.

The Dodgers' three-peat dreams are over. The Brewers are in the World Series for the first time since 1982 and are the first MLB team to sweep a playoff series against a team that swept them the year prior. LAD went 4-for-27 with RISP in the NLCS, 5-for-43 in the postseason.

The Dodgers got a leadoff double from Andy Pages to put the tying runner in scoring position, then stranded him at third. Pretty much sums up their offense this postseason.

It is truly incredible how quickly this Brewers team can pour on pressure and erase deficits. Even 4-0 did not feel comfortable, and the Brewers have already cut their deficit to one run with the bases now juiced.

Dave Roberts said he moved Shohei Ohtani to the leadoff spot because he liked Ohtani’s at-bats yesterday and work the last couple days. Also, he wanted to “shake it up a little bit.”

Max Muncy on the Dodgers’ offensive struggles: “It’s a pretty simple answer. We’re playing like shit, they’re playing great…don’t need to overcomplicate it.”

In 2013, Jake Bauers lost his high school state championship game at Dodger Stadium, 1-0. Then he got swept here in last year's NLCS. "Not a whole lot of positive memories out at Dodger Stadium," he said Monday. Safe to say that has changed. The Dodgers are on the brink.

Whatever happens, that 6th-inning sequence will be worth remembering. The Dodgers pinch-hit Max Muncy for Andy Pages then burned Josue De Paula/Kiké Hernández in same AB for Miguel Rojas. Wanted to go for it, but both ended in Ks. Hunter Feduccia their lone bench bat left.

Shohei Ohtani has no HR and one RBI in his last 24 games. But he insists that he can play, that his symptoms “have subdued,” that he’s getting closer. The Dodgers, who are choosing to listen, have to hope he’s right. Their season is riding on it: www.foxsports.com/stories/mlb/...

Jake Bauers worked a 12-pitch walk. Christian Yelich, who was not in the lineup for Game 1, delivers the go-ahead hit. This is the first time in Yoshinobu Yamamoto's last six playoff starts that he has surrendered more than one run. And he doesn't make it out of the 3rd.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto (kinda tentatively?) wanted to challenge. It was not granted. Will Smith didn't challenge it. It would have been correct. That is now two straight Brice Turang plate appearances that could have been strike three, instead ending with Turang on base.

Including the postseason, the Brewers now have a winning record this year (38-37) when their opponent scores first. Three of their four wins this postseason have come in comeback fashion.
