If you wanna know how things are going behind the scenes in Mia-land, I recently spent 4 dollars to have a lunch at work after not getting to put my packed lunch in a fridge that day, and I still wrack my own brain over the coals for it. Over 4 dollars.

Y'ALL. I AM IN LOVE WITH THE @portlandfire.bsky.social WNBA MASCOT. Every girl in Portland wants a Rose stuffie for Christmas. Including Tall Wife, who literally gasped when she saw Rose. SHE BREATHES GLITTER.

Trans rights are genuinely 𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙮 easy to defend. It's all bodily autonomy, the whole way down. Basic, entry level, essential. 𝘼𝙣𝙮 person, candidate, official that gives up on trans rights 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 sacrifice other rights. If the foundation goes, the entire house does too.

You cannot let people compromise on it. We're just the easiest minority to target (right now). If they can justify an removing rights for 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚, they 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 remove those rights for all. it's not if. It's when.

thinkin' hard on Royal updates. I've always *vaguely* considered Royal a 'tidal' dragon: A creature marked by regular change, less about itself and more about the changes it necessitates around it. A creature that itself, sure, but inflicts greater change unto those around it.

bereft of confidence and identity for so much of my life, I find myself in abundance now, even if that confidence rises and falls. I want to be that change for others, to crash into someone and leave them altered, confident in choosing life instead of hiding away from it like i did for so long.

its a little self manifestation. I am change. I am flux. But i am also constant. it is nature to be slowly, constantly changing. improving. It's beautiful, serene. It's a promise. I -WILL- be here. Not in spite of the change, but because of it. I am The Tide. I am The River. I am The Moon.

its a part of Royal i've had pocketed for a while and intend to play with, but never give myself time to. She is a dragon of change, she is the ocean and others are the shore. She will crash into someone and leave them changed, and they'll be more beautiful for it, as their old visage washes away

I am a creature always attracted to water, to the shore, to the rivers and ocean, to the tides and the storm. I am also transgender, & the constant flux of the waters brings me comfort, as i change into a happier, more confident creature. I, too, am change unyielding. The tide, the moon, the river.

Her breath is poisonous, glorious exhilarating poison. Her bite is venomous, but does not inflict pain. It washes into you like the reservoir breaking the dam. It fills you with its unyielding strength, like a storm crashing ashore.

She is dangerous, and that's *exciting*. Her breath is poisonous, but does not inflict pain. It clouds heavy like disturbed sediment from the river and glitters like moondust. It will crash against you and leave you changed. you will see the change wrought upon you, and swell with life.

as fear and regret wash away to joy and confidence, she will promise that you, too, can remain the same despite change. As constant as the phases of the moon, the rise and fall of the tide, the lithe meander of the river. You crave it.

Much like the river bends will surge and wash away what you knew, like the squall that storms through and changes a ship's course, like the wave crashing against shore and carving slow, gradual change into the landscape... That is Royal. Inevitable change. She will find you and leave you altered.

I want to play with that more. Her appearance will reflect it. I will amalgamate the creatures that thrive within the change of the water and build her anew. Yet she will remain the same. She is the water crashing against the stone, the cycle of the moon, the rise and fall of the tide.

Rivers and tributaries, while not *tidal*, wind and weave through landscapes, cutting through regions, demanding the creatures around it build their lives around it. Rivers bring life and just as quickly wash it away, as erosion and sediment cause rivers to change course like a writhing snake.

the shifting Tides, the phases of the moon, the writhing course of the river, all thematically imply the core concept of Royal as a dragon: Change. like myself, She fought a long time to resist change, to fight her very being.

The ocean tides dictate how ships can sail near shore, churns the tidepools of the coast, and erodes the shorelines causing gradual, eventual change. Storms are born of the ocean, crash into mainland, and can alter landscapes even far from shore.

I want cis peeps to understand just how backhanded it is when a trans person gives you their name, the easiest way ever to become one of their favorite people, & to respond with that with any variation of "well… no, actually". If that's too hard for you, well… At least we know you aren't reliable.

I mean genuinely the main emotion that I’m filled with after this weekend, seeing the president, walking through his throngs of fans, attending the worst circus I’ve ever witnessed, is like: man I’m not letting this guy kill me. I simply refuse to lose to him

Nephew was born yesterday. Got the photo from my father in law. Told him to give him extra love from his aunties. Mother in law got upset I referred to myself as "auntie" Despite being completely predictable from her… Still hurt. Having a great week so far, shame there's 6 more days of it

I need cis people to understand how much has been taken from us and in how short a time. And you'll think I'm crazy for saying this, but I do think you should know this happened to trans people before when a place briefly existed we were tolerated, and how that time ended.

staging.gcn.ieHow Nazis destroyed Berlin’s burgeoning LGBTQ+ sexology instituteSet up by Magnus Hirschfeld in 1919, the sexology institute was a pioneering research centre until it was destroyed in 1933.

How's everyone's weekend? I'm starting mine with having finally ordered an actual honest to God bra, and not only did it arrive late, it's the wrong size, and not even the brand I ordered! Couldn't get any more wrong without sending me an appliance or some shit. So mines going great.

girlies, if you had told me 5 years ago that I would be genuinely tempted to not only intentionally take a topless photo, but also to use it to make a dumb shitpost, i would have looked at you like you just sprouted 4 more heads. yet here i am lmao

I'm wondering if my lack of progress with art this month and last is... Maybe it's time to update Royal? I dunno just yet, but I've felt the itch more now than I have in two months. I hope it holds

Ideas are ALIVE in my BRAIN you will see them in time unless I get BORED

Illuminate yourself, then may you find yourself in me. And I in you.

As we move on from pride, remember we are now in wrath: Wrathful at the way our disabled siblings are treated, discarded, and left to die in many the same ways queer folks are. And don't even get me started on the *overlap* between our two groups. "Our bodies, our rights" applies to them, too.

Before Pride is over, throw a trans woman some spare change to help with groceries for the next month? Our AC decided we needed another 70 bucks of electricity bill than we had the previous month, and then died. No obligation, but it would help me and my disabled partner in a rough patch.

I'll try to get to some pride events next year maybe. This year was devoid of entertainment that wasn't a drag show, and this weekend has an art alley *today* while I'm at work and only today, on top of my car going into the shop, so I'm just shit out of luck.
