Hey everyone. The Allumeria Steam page is currently down because Microsoft has filed a false DMCA claim on it. They sent an email earlier today claiming that this screenshot infringes on their copyright. I am taking a moment to figure out what my path is going forward, will update soon. #gamedev

Wait I forgot to mention in the tumblr post, I also played Hytale! I love Hytale! The progression was a real vibe and I've been listening to the OST while developing Tiny Rogues every day since EA release!

I can't wait (once more) until this GIANT tiny rogues update is done. After that I also want to try (once more) to get into a flow with "smaller" but more regular updates. hmmm

boss naming tropes I love and am planning to 100% put into tiny rogues: * MECHA boss version (MECHA TIAMAT!?) * boss OMEGA * boss INCARNATE * NEO boss normalize putting random cool sounding prefixes and suffixes on your bosses. full final fantasy

The behavior actually comes from a custom XML script, and yes, modders (and you) will be able to write and import their own behaviors. It's going to be as easy as writing the file and putting it into a folder.

People and media often say Balatro was made by 'one guy'. I feel like that unfortunately may be stoking the flames of this David vs. Goliath narrative a tiny bit No it was not 'one guy', look at the dang in-game credits

This year's Summer Games Fest presentation was really concerned with how few people made a lot of those games, huh? It feels kinda fucked up. Not just because they're often misrepresntating the real size of these teams, but because I think it's playing directly into a new(ish) flavour of dev hate.
