The worst of all this is how it’s now become expected to say “I hope you’re well” at the start of an email. I don’t hope you’re well, I wish you were DEAD.

DOCTOR WHO QUESTION OF THE DAY: Who is the all-time hottest DW companion? Any gender, and the question is not ‘best,’ just purely on your opinion of their attractiveness.

When I take over Strictly, the first thing I’m going to do is bring back the proper tension music.

Go to your camera roll and search “boat” then post a picture of a boat you like.

I can reveal that my dog doesn't think much of the new Olivia Rodrigo/Chappell Roan single.

No.1 trending story offered to me by Apple News this morning is this breathless retelling of a fairly humdrum Reddit “Entitled People” tale.

This same story is currently running across multiple titles from Reach, which has recently given a further 160 journalists the boot, adding to the many more they’ve already got rid of, becuase who needs them when one ‘content creator’ can sit churning out this stuff.

This story about events on a German suburban train service no doubt particularly thrilling to the readers of Edinburgh Live.

I live opposite a primary school and my one work from home day each week coincides with MUSIC LESSONS DAY. 😫

Don’t think the little cherubs are going to be troubling the hit parade any time soon judging by this absolute fucking racket.

Contemporary report from the News of the World in 1962 about a police raid on a Soho bar frequented by “undesirables”…

Godfrey Lagden, Conservative MP for Hornchurch, speaking in 1960 against decriminalisation of homosexuality:

Just once I would like to see a video of one of Zara Larsson’s fans being absolutely fucking TERRIBLE at the Lush Life dance on stage with her.

All this culture war bollocks about Aunt Bessie going woke cos she’s been redrawn like she’s some legendary British icon of yesteryear, she was invented in 1995 by a frozen food conglomerate to shift stock they could no longer flog to Butlins when that went out of fashion.

Having to take my dog five miles away to another branch of my vets for an emergency appointment because the one two streets away won’t see him today. One big eye opener of getting a dog has been finding out what a fucking RACKET the big corporate vet operations are running.

Worst one was a young male teacher slash lecturer or some such who I look forward to seeing on the News Shopper website at some point for his sentencing.

I didn’t say it sounds like a bad event or that there’s anything wrong with it whatsoever, simply that it’s my personal worst nightmare!

Saw some peak Bluesky replying today when someone looking for reasonably priced picture framing in London was advised to go to the Lake District.

Just saw a civilian man walking though central London wearing what can only be described as a Technicolor Dreamcoat.

We had a young punk come in to tell us all about her youth lost to drink and drugs, then at the end she pulled out a black veil and revealed she was now a NUN.

Enjoyed seeing this in Doctor Who Magazine this month, although it’s weird to see stuff I invented FAIRLY RECENTLY I’M SURE now being revived as retro.

I’ve just described Will Best as “old enough to have seen Roland Rat The Series on television”. #strictly

Godfrey Lagden, Conservative MP for Hornchurch, speaking in 1960 against decriminalisation of homosexuality:

I’m guessing this is more to avoid paying overtime than a desire to inform.

So I've written a book! It's out next month from @tenacrebooks.bsky.social and it's about the modern series of #DoctorWho, the show's impact on TV and the UK, and how the media industry and fan culture have changed since it returned in 2005. tenacrefilms.bigcartel.com/product/the-...
