⏰ Just a few days left to support the Morrisons Food Drive! There's still time to donate at Morrisons stores before the collection ends on 20 September. Every donation helps our food bank provide vital support to people facing hunger and hardship. Thank you for your support 💚

So briefly, very briefly, my lawn was thinking "yes, rain!" But 5 minutes later, all evidence of it has gone. So cruel. Sorry grass...

Testing out my solar photography setup for later today. I had to make a new solar filter as the last time I did this I had a different camera with a different sized lens.

I'm at Rhandirmwyn Camping and Caravanning Club Site with not many other people! To be fair, these are the grass pitches - the hard standing pitches are a bit busier.

Thankfully the campsite WiFi is holding up pretty well so I can watch Arthur Fery from the comfort of the middle of a field in Wales...

So, it is very nearly 30°C upstairs right now. There is just no point in going up to try and sleep, is there? I'm going to go and sit out in the garden where it is "only" 26. At midnight.

One of the projects on my "retirement list" was to go through my collection of slides, negatives and prints from decades ago and digitise it all. A perfect activity for those winter days that are too cold/wet to go out. I hadn't anticipated making a start in June because it is too hot to go outside!

Had to reinforce the nest box because it was being attacked by a woodpecker. Normally I'd be quite pleased to see a woodpecker in the garden, but... Thankfully the bluetits don't seem to mind. The adult (male?) is constantly in and out with food, presumably for the female inside.

The weather forecast for today, when I looked yesterday, was overcast and showers. I'm glad I ignored it and came out anyway 😁

First bluebells I've seen this year. These seem to be a long way ahead of all the others around here. I wasn't expecting to see blue for another week at least.
