I'm making a starter pack with full-time bootstrapped tech founders. Mostly indie hackers. Who should I add? (You can suggest yourself 😉) go.bsky.app/FiXK17p

Bought the Berkeley mono font for the terminal and Cursor. Pleasantly surprised by how much more enjoyable those are now 🤗 Ligatures make code more scannable and readable, too. Would recommend. usgraphics.com/products/ber...

Vanity metric, but still kinda exciting that there are only 50k sites with more authority than nslookup.io

Programming is a serious profession.

The only way to go fast is to go fast.

Teachable is forcing a price hike again. Seriously tempted to make a $0/month +$5 per student course hosting saas.

I needed a logo for isplookup.com, but didn't want to spend more than 5 minutes. Found icon.kitchen and made one in 2 🥰

The domain name isplookup.com dropped last week, so I made this online tool. It shows your IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and their internet service providers. You can also enter an IP or domain name to find their ISPs. Not as fancy as some startups, but I hope it'll have a tiny impact on many people :)

I was a tech guy in 90's. There was a feeling amongst the older guys that us new breed were idiots because we were only working on the application layer and didn't understand the 1's and 0's. Many of my dads friends believed you shouldn't be able to drive a car unless you knew how to fix it.

I don’t understand why people advise junior developers to avoid using AI. They lack experience, but they’re not stupid. Surely they’ll eventually figure the right design. Besides, reading code and evaluating its quality is a super valuable skill, which you’ll learn much faster with AI.

Presented without comment.

Where are all the Chromium forks with AI agents? Should be a much better platform for automation for most people.

Looking for a side project? Subtitlewiki . com just dropped. Find popular shows / movies. Generate perfectly synced subtitles in all languages using better AI than what’s currently out there. Offer for free and show 2 ads per page. Differentiate by quality, not quantity.

I was away for 2 weeks. What’s the meta now? Which models for planning and coding?

For SEO: - Be trustworthy - Per page, solve 1 user problem well and clearly - Make users happy For LLM optimisation: - Be trustworthy - Per page, solve 1 user problem well and clearly - Make users happy

I’ll be impressed by your AI if it can identify the exact toy set this wheel is part of. So far none could.

I’m done chasing the tech hype cycle. Give me boring tech and a problem to solve.

Spotted sankey charts in the wild

Just visited a website with a guestbook, weather widget and page view counter. Nostalgia hit me in the face.

How do I check if a logo design isn’t too similar to an existing logo? Any sites that are searchable?

I regret to inform you that software engineering will transition to requirements engineering.

Ok. My #1 priority this week is becoming crazy effective with coding AI. Hit me with your best resources. Articles, tools, videos. Let’s go

I learned to slackline. It was very easy. All I did was get on it, take a few steps, fall and try again. 10 min per week for 6 months. Now I tell myself to just start and keep going whenever I need to do something daunting.

Working on a big update for Nslookup.io. Reply / DM for beta invite 🫶

Unexpected QoL improvement as an indie dev: No more merge conflicts and commit to main.

Never leave your formative years.

Sure, it's simple. But man, do these kinds of things save a lot of time! Didn't need to change anything after the prompt. Just worked 🤗

The two most common reactions to my DNS course: "LOL u can learn it in 5 min with Google" "Finally a deep dive in this foundational, underestimated tech"

Before 10k MRR, build product, do marketing. After 10k MRR, build product, do marketing.

Imagine the human brain doubling in size every 2 years. That's AI + Moore's law baby!

Logo exploration for Nslookup.io. Which is better?

I’d like my keyboard a bit lower. Would cutting from the edge to about 1/3rd of the desk ruin the integrity of my standing desk? 🙈

Why aren’t there any foldable computer displays? I’d buy a 2x 4K wide screen with a fold in the middle. Dual monitor with no bezel 👌

Current mood 🤗

I’m getting almost weekly emails from “security researchers” about some issue they supposedly found. It’s obviously automated, vague descriptions, and never followed up after ignoring. What’s their play?

What’s something relatively inexpensive that you love?

Black Friday discount link in bio 😇

My biggest discount for the year 👇 nslookup.io/dns-course/

I'm running a Black Friday discount. But I can't run ads on Bsky. So I'm donating $1 (max $500) to freecodecamp.org for every repost of this post ❤️ nslookup.io/dns-course/
