I spoke to a voter today about what we're seeing all around the state with turnout and how we have a real chance to flip our state. He said "don't get me excited." But we should be excited! With less than 10 days to go, we are leaving it all on the field. Come volunteer with us!

You can start as soon as tomorrow. We have: 1) Our anti-war canvass: bit.ly/nowar7 2) Fundraiser in NYC: actblue.com/donate/ffr1025 Let's finish strong y'all!

A heart-wrenching yet vividly hopeful novel about a Black girl's struggle to find the quiet beauty in life and friendship amid the chaos of grief and mental illness by New York Times, USA Today, and Indie bestselling author Frederick Joseph. EVERYTHING'S NOT LOST is available now!

Hope can be the bravest and most heartbreaking thing we do. I think we should still do it anyway. And, when we ask people to hope we must take that responsibility seriously. So for the next 13 days, will you hope with me?  Read more on the Ruwa Report.

A few more pics from today. Thank you to all the other speakers from Sur Legal, STAND, and Community Estrel(la)as. We need to vote, organize, and live our lives conscious of the wrongful family separations and deaths in government custody that are happening in our neighborhoods all the time.

We are so thankful that State Rep (and future State Sen) @ruwaromman.bsky.social spoke at our "Heat Wave ATL" press conference today. ICE's "Silent Surge" isn't making headlines, but is still kidnapping our neighbors, denying them due process, and subjecting them to inhumane detention conditions.

It was a packed weekend! We launched canvasses in Suwanee, Peachtree Corners (with Adam and Peter), and Lawrenceville. We also joined Gwinnett Young Dems for their march to the polls and Indivisible Gwinnett for No Kings! Wrapped the weekend with Georgia WFP! We’re 15 days out y’all 🍑

TODAY is the first day of early voting for the 2026 General Election! You have through October 30 to cast your vote early, so make your plan to vote early now! As a reminder, here is our full slate of endorsements for the upcoming election on November 3. Learn more at: bit.ly/GEVotes

The right is weaponizing the government to raid the home of a sitting member of Congress. I stand with Ilhan.

Ilhan Omar@ilhanmn.bsky.social

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

We had an amazing canvass launch with UFCW and our nominee for Governor Keisha Lance Bottoms! It's not too late to help knock doors. Early voting starts tomorrow. Make your plan to vote then help us reach as many voters as we can between now and Election Day in just 22 days!

This is why Rick can’t be our next Governor. She said her name, he got it wrong. She said what the minimum wage was, he said $7.50 instead. She gave him an opportunity to answer, he started out being dismissive. 1/

Voter: The federal minimum wage of $7.25/hour yields a salary of approximately $15,080. What steps will you take to ensure Georgians earn a wage that allows them to afford basic essentials? Georgia Republican Gov. candidate Rick Jackson: Hopefully you're not the one that is getting the $7.50/hour

This billionaire buying an election shouldn’t be Governor not out of hatred for the rich, but as demonstrated here, his inability to see everyone else as people worthy of understanding and deserving of a good life. He sees us as nothing more than potential sources of money. 2/

Folks talking about traditional values and can’t uphold basic ones. Some of us gotta hold the line 🍑

Anthony Michael Kreis@anthonymkreis.bsky.social

Very pleased USA TODAY picked up on @ruwaromman.bsky.social and I’s mini protest to the Secretary of State and our fervent hope to protect the Election Day peach sticker tradition. Some things must be defended at all costs!

The quarter ends today! AND our first and only public deadline is just 20 days away. I *know* we can flip our state, but we can only do it with your help. Chip in today ✨

Y'all, we have 38 days left. Voters are starting to tune in now. This race has always been a margin of effort race. So how can you help?

RACE RATING CHANGE: Georgia Governor 🔵 Tilt D → 🟡 Tossup The gubernatorial race between Keisha Lance Bottoms (D) and Rick Jackson (R) has tightened into tossup territory following recent polling showing an exceptionally close race.

This was so fun!

You probably already know @ruwaromman.bsky.social But do you know the Ruwa I’ve gotten to know? For this Armchair Pundit conversation, we talked about grief, hope, fear, organizing, growing up in Georgia and what keeps us showing up when the world feels overwhelming Meet the woman behind it all

FINNEAS has withdrawn from Ed Sheeran’s tour in solidarity with Palestine and Macklemore: “Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed. I have decided to withdraw from my upcoming tour dates with Ed Sheeran. I stand with Palestine and its people.”

Outrageous seeing Mercedes-Benz Stadium as one of the stadiums that applied this pressure.

As our country united in pain, we also united in our response. Today, however, many are choosing to taint the memories of those killed with their bigotry and political posturing. We must reject their cynical ploys to tear us apart and instead unite in honoring those we lost. 3/

Today, and everyday, we commemorate the heroism of first responders, like Salman Hamdani, who saved so many lives. And, we pray for every family who lost loved ones. May we live to see a world devoid of that suffering. 4/

The terrorist attacks on 9/11 impacted Americans of every age, race, religion, ethnicity, and economic background.  I was only 8 years old, but I remember the fear that the adults around me showed. Even as a child who was still learning English, I could understand the magnitude of that moment. 2/

Our Saturday morning canvass just got a special guest! Join us and David Hogg to knock doors and turn out Georgians. We can change our state one door, one person, and one conversation at a time but only with your help.

It's great to see new and old friends at the Annual Labor Day Celebration. I'm grateful for unions that won us a 40-hour work week, paid time off, the weekend, and so much more. But gratitude is not enough. In Georgia, we must repeal laws that infringe on our right to organize.
