Top health care companies in the Fortune 500: United Health: #3 CVS Health: #6 Cigna: #14 One way they did it? By buying up every part of the health care system—and squeezing you dry. You shouldn't have to worry about going broke when you get sick. Let's break up Big Medicine.

Ever wonder what's going on in US government? My project Civitas sets out to answer exactly that. It's a free single pane of glass to everything going on, on a daily basis. All the data is already available to citizens via official APIs, I just made it easier to find and read. civitas-research.org

NEW: Inflation data came in and Donald Trump’s failed economic agenda has raised prices for Americans by 5.9%. That means families are paying $3,772 more thanks to inflation under Trump.

The President vs. every member of Congress COMBINED. Guess who made more personal financial trades? Donald Trump — with 28,000+ trades. Stock trading by top government officials should be illegal—no owning, buying, or selling stocks.

With Election Day in the US coming up, it's a great time to check your registration and ballot. My project Civitas Research has election coverage, links to check your registration, and more. It's a great place to start, and it's all free without ads monetization. civitas-research.org/elections

If you're making an average paycheck in Worcester, what homes can you afford? I checked Zillow. Spoiler alert: not much. And it's not just Worcester, it's true all across America.

Republicans sent the Senate home this week without taking ANY real action to: - End Donald Trump's Iran war - Lower costs for American families - Regulate AI

Civitas now has a documented public API and MCP server. Hope it will be helpful to developers looking to integrate with political data. civitas-research.org/developers If you try it and have any suggestions, feel free to open issues on my GitHub and I will address them! github.com/kamoras/civi...

The tech industry treats every line of code like a potential unicorn startup. We'd all be so much better off if we celebrated open-source contributors and digital stewards the same way we glorify founders.

In Worcester and across the nation, Congress's new housing law is sending a simple message: build more homes and stop private equity from buying up the ones we've got.

In 1965, CEOs were paid 21 times as much as a typical worker. Today, that number has spiked to 281. The system is rigged and it's time we level the playing field.

AI was trained on generations of human knowledge and work. Now Big Tech is making billions from it. It’s time to tax AI and make sure the American people benefit from what they helped build.

Memorial Day cookout. Beach trip. Visit with family. All of it costs more this year. That’s not an accident. Trump’s tariffs and war in Iran are driving up your costs.

The internet runs on software maintained by people you’ve never heard of. For years, that was an unfair but stable system. Now AI tools that can find vulnerabilities at scale are changing that - and the people maintaining the foundation don’t have access to them. www.ryan-mack.dev/blog/the-qui...

ryan-mack.devThe Quiet WorkThe software industry has produced some of the most celebrated fortunes in history. The people who built its foundations are mostly unknown. That gap is worth sitting with.

Software is a tool, but we’ve spent years conflating engineering with entrepreneurship. Too many engineers are taught to idolize billionaires who use technology to hoard power and feed their own greed. The problem isn’t the code. It’s how it’s being steered.

This is exactly the kind of conversation we need happening in government. Billionaires are not paying their fair share to the public. No single person needs over $200 billion - that's just greed.

Jeff Bezos has $222 billion. If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over. And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.
