My little dog looks dead, but she is a only sleeping. She just doesn’t have any teeth on that side of her mouth to hold her tongue in.

If you think that we are doomed or things cannot get better, check out ‘1971: The Year that Music Changed the World’, specifically the episode titled ‘The Revolution Will not be Televised’. I was not alive then, but things were more bleak in 1971 than they are now.

Not only was the President and Congress doing undemocratic things, but so were the governors of California and New York—and virtually everyone else.

I was listening to OnPoint on NPR this afternoon, and they were talking about how hard it is to watch sports on broadcast tv because no one wants to buy a ‘digital antenna’. There is no such thing, it is just marketing BS.

He also comment that it was easy ‘back in the day’ to watch broadcast tv.(?) It is no harder today. Just connect an antenna (or coat hanger) to your TV and scan for channels.

I need an MRI. The cost here is $3500 (a strangely round number). A round-trip flight to London, a couple of hotel nights, and paying cash at a private clinic there would cost less than half of that. Anyone who doesn't think our system is broken isn't paying attention.

Tomorrow I will be playing bass for a full show for the first time in over ten years. Since guitar has been my only regular stringed instrument since then, I found a short scale bass (30") just so the fret spacing would feel more familiar. Another great thing is that it fits in a case I have already

Recently, every time I go somewhere to grab a sandwich, everyone is rushing to prepare a bunch of to-go orders that are pilled onto a counter…yet I never see anyone coming in to pick them up.

For the last seven weeks, my band has played a show every weekend. This weekend, no show; and I have forgotten how to be home all weekend with ‘nothing to do’.

Proposition: how about we combine Memorial Day and Veterans Day into a single holiday like the entire rest of the Western world does on November 11 and just have a straight up Bank Holiday on the last Monday in May?

Maybe an even better idea would be Remembrance Day on November 11, and Union Memorial Day the last Monday March; and while we are at it, lets celebrate May Day as well.

I love having a seasonal job. Today we start our summer service schedule, so I only work half-days on Sundays until Labor Day!

I live in South Carolina which recently passed an open carry law, and I have seen a few people open carrying. Don’t they know that if someone entered a public place wishing to do actual harm, the first thing they would do is shoot the guy with a gun on his hip?

I have received so many emails from businesses in the last week suggesting things to get/do for my mother on Mothers' Day. I have been sorely tempted to reply to all of them: "My mother is dead." To be fair, I never thought I would be saying that at 42 years old.😑 Happy Mothers' day everyone!

I am not a medical professional, but how can a single person (like one of faux patients in annoying pharmaceutical commercials) have “moderate to severe” anything? Isn’t an individual’s condition either moderate or severe?

O invalid handle, go thou away I know not why thou plaguest me this day I know that I have done all things right Still thou didst ruin mine image elsewise bright.

Invalid handle hast gone today! Instructions clear will I write this day For those whose path to private server led, I will give direction from now cleared head.

Busy weekend. Show with the band tonight, rehearsals with the viol consort tomorrow, and concert of English Baroque verse anthems Sunday.

BTW, the 'Invalid Handle' is due to the fact that I migrated my account to my own server. It's just a bug that will hopefully soon be fixed

If anyone happens to be in the Charlotte, NC area this Friday, my band, The Knights of Flannel, is playing a Sycamore Brewing 2151 Hawkins St from 8-11pm

You are up to date.
