Got jolt physics up and running in unreal engine AND playing nicely with both unreal's allocator and its task system. This is still very much a toy implementation but I think the worst bits (horribly grafting unreal's threading into jolts jobsystem) are mostly done

Unreal engine be normal when I need to make changes to my header files challenger (impossible) I fuckin love having to completely restart the editor half the time I declare one single new function aaaaaaaaaaaa

This feels... Idk, like vaguely out of touch? Sorta in the same way that the very wealthy talk about how you just need "hard work" and whatnot. This sort of operates on the assumption that "effort = pretty" and therefore "non pretty = no effort"

This post is unavailable.

Like even if every person considered "pretty" does put in massive effort, (and in most cases, it very much DOES) I feel like it discounts the very real experience of the many many times where someone tries their hardest at something and *fails*

Now the whole concept of "prettiness" is bullshit and rooted in a lot of stuff I do not want to get into now, but the fact that it is stupid and made up unfortunately doesn't reduce its *material relevance* towards people

Doing some animation stuff in UE, some motion matching and physics driven animation stuff. The animation set I'm using has pretty poor overall coverage so I've been trying to make up for a lot of it with procedural stuff

I really like how easy it is to keep node spaghetti to a minimum in wm, sorta wish other software would take a few notes on how they do noodle routing from it.

You are up to date.
