Marinette is one of those places I’ve been aware of most of my life because of highway signs, but I don’t think I’ve ever been there.

Current* conditions near Marinette, WI:

Do we want “racist Harrison Bergeron?” Because this is how we get “racist Harrison Bergeron." Poor kid. WTF. To be fair, they could have strapped ankle weights on this superstar and he still would have made them look silly.

I spoke to the mom of the 3-year-old soccer star who was left "thinking he did something wrong" after a league official called police "due to a disturbance between parents" The youth sports league said they launched a review and reached out to the family

Feels like some of you on here forgot the most important beatitude: "Blessed are the shareholders, for their increased value will trickle down to the rest of you lazy jerks."

I love this movie but it is really scary to me.

The B-Movie Vault@thebmovievault.bsky.social

A classic in the pantheon of "Rural America is a terrifying hellhole (with excellent country music)" movies. See also, "Australia".

even my sarcastic, know-it-all, fun-to-be-contrarian friends are like “whoa, people are taking this too far."

Reminds of the time I talked about Trump in comparison to Hun Sen in Cambodia on the other site, and a conservative commenter said the current guy is nothing like that. Well, I’ve written this headline multiple times before, sadly: Opposition Lawmaker Forced Out of Country.

This dude was such an ass. We’re on a train in Chicago, dude. I’m wearing an @oudaily.bsky.social hat. You don’t have to go and talk loudly to your wife about how Texas is “historically dominant” this is on you, asshole. HAHAHAHAHA #Boomer

Rivalry weekend with both my teams having self-inflicted disappointing seasons is not fun. Time to work on my #gundam backlog--at least I’m in control of success or failure there.

my parents have an Aura digital picture frame and unwisely allowed me to upload photos and videos. Really dominating their content.

maybe he thinks the posters are what’s missing, and every time he sees one he grabs it and thinks “not anymore! I found it! This is super easy!"

folks, i can't tell you how many times i've rewatched this ad *that republicans are paying people to see*

lame-ass villager giving me a quest I only get around to right before finishing the game

The president flings stale shit at the wall: "Chicago is suffering unprecedented & particularly violent crime wave getting worse by the day. The Govt can extinguish it quickly, but the Mayor or Governor must ask for our help. What is wrong with them? Why aren’t they asking? TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!"

While acknowledging the safety issues of storming the field, I must admit that it was awesome the only time I did it.

Watching all the old Football Follies videos to prep for OU/Texas next week. Thinking about buying a slide whistle

It’s crazy how all these teams seem to be able to run for multiple yards on first down, because I’ve been assured this is impossible. #packers #sooners

Oh man, thank goodness I’m not a football fan. Otherwise, this would be terrible for my mentals.

I had sideline media passes to that game at Folsom field, and at one point I caught Garrick McGee’s eye after a sack and he gave me a “IDK, what can I even do about this mess” look. I saw him again the following week outside Dale Hall and he just shook his head.

The people I see who are most happy with AI--I work in writing/design, so I don’t have a coding/data perspective--are the folks who can’t tell good work from bad work and really felt oppressed when nobody appreciated their "passion for design.”

I’m really fortunate to work on a team that sees me as the final word, but I know other creatives who are just expected to run with whatever BS they get, then get blamed for not fixing objectively terrible things despite their powerlessness.

I see examples of folks in other areas who are doing legit good work with AI, but I see it like I see politicians who want to run government like a business: It’s two different things, and saying AI is helpful for everyone broadly is not, in my view, true.

That stuff takes twice as long to fix, usually, than just a bad creative brief, because usually it’s submitted as a PDF/image, so we have to rip apart the content and reassemble it to meet basic standards.

Got a collection of chili powders and shook them up in my cheese curds because obvs this OU game isn’t painful enough.

My sources say the details include free Ron’s cheese products and Bearcat’s smoked salmon for life, though, which could add $5-10 million a year.

It's still unclear what all of the "real" numbers of Tucker Kraft's extension are, but $26.5M guaranteed at signing is a pretty team-friendly figure. For context, Michael Mayer, who also agreed to an extension today, got $30M guaranteed on a deal with fewer years and over $30M less in total value.

Satisfactory win last night, #Sooners. Feels better than the Illinois state game did last year, and in fact probably as good or better than any warmup game in awhile.
