This is a pretty good read. bsky.app/profile/mcsw...

"I work for a company that makes beer taste like pine needles that have been soaking in a vat of apple cider vinegar for thirty years. Our logo is a Sasquatch wearing a trucker hat. I make $40,000 per year, but fortunately, Portland is super affordable, probably." buff.ly/rbDr5Q2

I'm not trying to demean smaller, lesser known colleges, but watching Mike Rogers, who attended Adrian, attempt to denigrate the Education of his political opponent, who has degrees from University of Michigan, Oxford, where he was a Rhodes scholar, and Columbia, was truly pathetic.

Even with the postseason starting Tuesday I'm still a little sad about the end of Baseball season. There's something extremely tranquil and comforting about the the ebb and flow and the rhythms of the 162 game regular season.

When I was growing up my mother used to say to me, "Chris, you're far too young to be so cynical" I was actually a youthful idealistic. I mean, if you aren't an idealist as a teenager that pretty much means that you're a sociopath, right?

Tony is an excellent film. I had expectations, and it exceeded them. Really good soundtrack. Give Antonio Banderas the best supporting actor Oscar now. Seriously! He was that good.

I hate cashless music venues. I understand why that's becoming the standard, but I hate getting a bill in three weeks for the beer and tequila I just drank.

A dude in the cigar shop who was talking about how Magic The Gathering, Tarot cards, and Ouija boards are satanic, stopped to wish the lone black customer a happy Juneteenth.

Sometimes I forget how conservative the average cigar smoker is. Case in point: the dude with the man bun is swearing that the Somalia referee was denied entry because pledged allegiance to a known terrorist group. Even Mr manbun is a republikkkan.

I think the people who are convinced that the mid terms are going to save us are in for a rude awakening. The fix is in. If there actually is a mid term election and the dems retake the house, and possibly the senate, the election results won't be certified. We're through the looking glass. We lost.

OK. I get it. You have no interest in the World Cup. While I would never directly give FIFA any of my money, I will be watching from home, and at my favorite cigar lounge. Don't yuck my yum.

You know you're at a Northern California wedding when there's a room for you to smoke in. Now, by smoking, I'm not talking about tobacco. That's strictly verboten. I'm talking about jazz cabbage, muggles, reefer, tea. I assume you catch my drift.

4 years ago today my best friend of 35 years died of an accidental drug overdose. Even the end of my 26 year marriage the year before pales in comparison to the sense of loss I've experienced over the death of my dear, dear friend. It's a loss I'll never fully recover from. In many ways it broke me.

My football ⚽️ team was a lot better when they were owned by the Russian oligarch who was the inspiration for that one character in that Guy Ritchie film.

Arsenal supporters trying to explain why getting knocked out of the F.A. Cup by a team 26 places below them in the Football League standings is actually a good thing. I guess Gooners gonna Goone.

My old pal Doug Irwin passed away. Man I had some good times with that guy. Back in Nov. of 91 we met up in Philadelphia at a Jerry Garcia Band show and then followed the tour to Worcester, NYC, Albany, Hartford, Providence and Rochester. It was epic. He was one of the funniest people I've ever met.

I have such a love hate relationship with the Oscars. Ethan Hawke got robbed. I might go the rest of my life without ever seeing another performance as good as his role in Blue Moon.
