Hey Lawsky, a chain-of-title question arising from 1L Property class: Consider the following 3 transfers of the same land in order: O transfers to A for value; A never records. O transfers to B as a gift; B records immediately. O transfers to C for value; C records immediately.

Following the general rules I learned, A has superior title to B, because earlier transfers for value outweigh later gifts. B has superior title to C, because earlier recorded transfers outweigh later transfers. C has superior title to A, because recorded transfers outweigh unrecorded transfers.

Assuming I haven't made a mistake: Who gets to keep the land? More importantly, how do you think through a question like this? Does it matter whether title superiority is determined in a single lawsuit with all 3 as parties, or in 3 separate lawsuits? In the latter case, does lawsuit order matter?

Hey Lawsky: I'm a 1L, hoping to do two informational interviews via Zoom today. I'd very much appreciate any lawyers taking the time to talk to me. I'll be available today from 12 to 4 EDT, and after 6 EDT. I'll be in class soon, but afterwards should be able to respond.

Minor note: I'm hoping to talk with at least one partner, as I've talked with a few associates and would like to learn more about later stages of the career. I'm also hoping to talk to at least one anti-trust lawyer. Both are just hopes though - I'd be happy to talk to anyone.

Dear Manager: 1. Heard a catchy song and started singing it, not knowing what it was. 2. Sang the song that never ends. 3. Sang the song that never ends. 4. Sang the song that never ends. 5. Sang the song that never ends.

Dear Manager: 1. Shake them up, shake them up, shake them up, shake them 2. Rolled them in a circle of homies who proceeded to watch me break them 3. Picked up the cash flow 4. Played bones, yelled “Domino” 5. Nobody I know got killed in South Central L.A.

You are up to date.
