I took the time to watch the whole thing and my biggest problem with this show is, of all things, its pacing. Not to mention Sarah Paulson’s performance washed that of the rest of the (generally remarkable) cast. It would be just as sad if it was NOT renewed for S2.

The sad thing about it is really the quality cast and resources these producers have is what so many could only dream of and this show is what they do with it all.

Is AI making us stupid? – podcast

theguardian.comIs AI making us stupid? – podcastArtificial intelligence can execute tasks in seconds that once took humans hours, if not days to complete. While this may be great for productivity, some researchers are concerned that our increasing use of AI could be impacting our ability to tackle difficult problems and think critically. To find out where the science stands, and how worried we should be about the potential of AI to change how we think, Ian Sample hears from Madeleine Finlay and Sam Gilbert, professor of neuroscience at University College London

Ryan Murphy needs to slow his roll, and Kim may be better off not acting when she’s getting bad reviews trying to play characters so similar to herself. www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/alls_fair...

‘Kim Kardashian had no pretensions that she was a great actress’: Glenn Close hits back at zero-star All’s Fair reviews

theguardian.com‘Kim Kardashian had no pretensions that she was a great actress’: Glenn Close hits back at zero-star All’s Fair reviewsActor praises co-star in abominably reviewed Ryan Murphy legal drama, and claims show deserved more appreciation Glenn Close has hit back at the critical mauling for her recent series All’s Fair. The actor stars in Ryan Murphy’s legal drama, which has received a string of zero-star reviews. In her appraisal, the Guardian’s Lucy Mangan described it as: “Fascinatingly, incomprehensibly, existentially terrible.” The series currently holds a 3% rating on reviews site Rotten Tomatoes. According to Close, the main issue was the choice to air the worst three episodes first. “I personally think that the first three episodes were the weakest,” she told Variety. “That was a tough way to start. I’ve seen all nine episodes, and I think it actually adds up to something.” Continue reading...

Has anyone here ever seen a slow-motion video of a professional baseball pitch? It’s brutal.

I’ve reviewed more books in self-help than probably any other genre, and I’d argue that whether they can improve your life depends greatly on how you use what you learn, which can stem from a sharpening in judgement. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Look out for number one! Selfish self-help books are booming – but will they improve your life?

If she could take an 8mo break to live her life and then go back on tour but ONLY for people who haven’t seen her yet, ideally she could make it impossible to resell above a certain price. Concert ticket reselling is out of touch. No industry should even allow a $1278% markup.
