But we have to be better than this. I understand the "tolerance paradox". But utilizing the same or similar rhetoric is not being intolerant of intolerance. It is fighting fire with fire. Holding onto the past. Whataboutism. An eye for an eye. Not tolerating this type of speech is calling it out.

wow

And "not tolerating this type of speech by calling it out" means calling it out wherever you see it. Not just when it's aimed at people you agree with. This garbage being hurled back and forth will not fix anything. And at a certain point, it doesn't matter who started it. It has to be picked up.

Just regurgitating the same crap will not fix anything. You know how you felt when you saw stuff like this aimed at a subject you cared about. It hurt. That's why it's being dug up now. Hurting others the same way is only digging the trenches wider. Extend an olive branch now before it won't reach.

This!! Charlie Kirk's murder is unacceptable, and his killer must be found and held accountable! There are two children who's father was ripped away from them. We can feel this way and not condone his rhetoric. We can even feel this way and openly speek out against such hateful and divisive speech.

We can be morally outraged by an assassination and at the same time acknowledge that Charlie Kirk’s racism and misogyny were immoral. Whitewashing his behavior and beliefs betrays the collective by masking how we got to this place in America.

It is possible to both deeply disagree with someone, and still see value in their life. Our inability to see value in one another, and even ourselves, is what begets these tragedies over and over again. You are loved. The people you disagree with are loved. You can love the people you disagree with.

Fuck Russia and ANYONE who dares to attempt to excuse these heinous actions. The thought of even carrying out an attack like this is grotesque and inhuman.

On Palm Sunday, as Ukrainian Christians prayed for peace, Russia struck Sumy with cluster munitions, showing its own "commitment" to peace. 32 people were killed as a result, including two children. 99 others sustained injuries, including 11 children.

The current administration's inepness, negligence, "administrative mistake", refusal to rectify said mistake, earlier request of the Supreme Court, and Robert's stay are shameful and upholding the savage tearing apart of an innocent family. I am ashamed. I am sick. I am stunned. I am enraged.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. 1/2

And queue the "witchhunt" and "weaponized judicial system" claims. Sorry for the skepticism, but this feels eerily similar. Now is not the time to celebrate. Now is the time to be loud and be heard. (Which y'all are great at!) Wishing for the best future for France. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/31/w...

Signal has been my primary messaging application for the last three months, and will continue to be. Yes, it has been the subject of attacks. But it is still secure if used correctly. We should use this to spread info about SIM swapping, and Signal's "Registration Lock" option to negate it. 1/2

Signal@signal.org

Right now there are a lot of new eyes on Signal, and not all of them are familiar with secure messaging and its nuances. Which means there’s misinfo flying around that might drive people away from Signal and private communications. 1/

None of this negates the fact that govt officials utilizing Signal to discuss military actions violated the Federal Records Act, which established a framework for competent officials to follow to, at the very least, protect our armed service members. Clearly these officials are not competent. 2/2

The attacks on the judicial branch and the free press are horrific. Expected, but still harrowingly horrific.

Trump’s speech at the DOJ are the rantings of a madman. It was the same speech he gives at the rallies and what he said in the hallway 3 times a day

Hog-tying Gritty is an issue I believe we can all get behind! Truly terrifying that this "thing" roams free terrorizing Philadelphians to this day.

This post is unavailable.

The fact that the wealthiest man on earth has been set loose to enact his vendetta on an entire system that: 1. Allowed him to obtain his obscene wealth 2. Is the only system that is able to limit his influence and abuse Is something much scarier than any January 6th mob, and that was terrifying.

Pin this, save it, we’ll need it. “When a prison camp opens in your town…when a DREAMer is disappeared from your classroom…when the President destroys what’s left of the Constitution…They will all say they didn’t know this was coming. And I want the American people to know that they did.” AOC 🔥🎯

“I don’t want to pay for other people’s healthcare!” This is something I often see people say in opposition to single-payer healthcare. Thing is, if you have health insurance, you’re paying for other people’s healthcare AND the insurance company is taking some for themselves.
