I am convinced that legit journalists (not Fox, etc.) should be issued cattle prods for use when dealing with GOP bozos. GOP clown: Blah, blah, lie, lie... Journalist: Sorry, that's a lie, try again. Zaaaapp!!! Deeply satisfying for tbe journalist, if not the interviewee.

Back before the 2020 election, a close family member drug me to a Trump rally at the state capitol. There was a German news crew there, and I spoke to the cameraman. In his words: "The US rescued Germany in WWII. What is happening here now is concerning. We have seen all this before!"

Trompe - Fr. To deceive; eg. "Trompe-l'oeil" - "to deceive the eye". Trump - En. To deceive; eg. "Donald Trump is speaking" - "to deceive the ear".

The right-wing Internet "pundits" are jumping on Mamdani for soliciting individual donations for his transition. Some wonder why he doesn't accept "donations" from the "Moneyed Interests" he wants to tax. Simple truth: if he did, they would own him. End of thought.

I use Qobuz, tried Tidal also but didn't see much difference. For Classical music, try Idagio. Their phone app is a bit clunky, but it's easier to search for composers and works.

I see Hitler addressed the League of Nations today ... Sorry, I meant Trump addressed the United Nations today.

Time to break out one of my favorite albums: Jefferson Starship - Blows Against The Empire youtu.be/_kUlAtpa9wc "It's a fresh wind that blows against the empire."

Bruce Hornsby and the Range - The Way It Is Particularly relevant now. youtu.be/cOeKidp-iWo?...

It’s not often that I get to be proud of my profession (lawyers am I right?), but suing extortionists gets a big ol’ hell yeah from me.
