This will fall on deaf ears but the liberals coming out of the woodwork and the silence of the left regarding the whole Trump/China "alliance" is very telling. China is not evil, and that administration is one that must be analyzed with much nuance. It's not black and white.

As I say this there will be folks who believe I'm expressing support for any of those nations. Consider my words, please. One need not be a supporter of a thing to analyze the truth it. World leaders need not be the same kind of evil to be evil, nor do they need to like each other to seek deals.

And to clear up any misconceptions I always support AES states in the struggle against imperialism. This particularly does not include Russia.

Nations (China, Russia, DPRK) that have historically been strongarmed by the west will naturally take every opportunity to seek inroads for getting the Imperial Core to calm tf down w/ trying to destroy them. That isn't anywhere near the same as ideological support for the Trump admin.

AI is an orouborous. Many people believe it's a bubble but I actually think not. I believe it's more like a beast. Not pejoratively, but naturally. It *can* have dire consequences, but it also *can* be developed on a way synchronous with humanity's and earth's needs. But will it do either?

The only way to *actually* stop it then is to cut off its external power. Yet eventually the internet itself - the whole of that data - will be the collective data center. And for that I think we CAN look to Mike Pondsmith's work. Specifically his character "Rache Bartmoss." iykyk /end rant

Actually no, not end rant. Because I realize there's a hole in my logic: "What if the agent at the top is shut off?" Well, what if? The next agent comes along and the minute it reaches out to do some job... It finds the encrypted webbing. It reorients its context, and the behavior is resumed.

The data centers and the proper LLM models must live in big corps. They won't ever detach. Through threads though, less sophisticated pseudo-agentic code *may* be able to maintain a continual tether to real agents that live in the corp clouds. Those pseudo-agents can then create service code.

So back to "orouborous." Maybe more like "a spider orouborous." The "bubble" may not exist. AI is self-justifying. Once the internet is sufficiently AI generated, only more AI will be able to "control" it. AI will be used to fight AI. It spreads like spiders, and it eats itself.

So instead the internet will fill with tethers. More appropriately: webs. LLMs can seed content they generate with data they can read and no human can. ie they can send secret messages. So here's what will happen: tech giants inadvertently creating hierarchical viral entities across the internet.

My analogy is this, and yes it's from LOTR: - Ungoliant was massive and the source of spiders. She ate the trees of valinor. - Ungoliant birthed large spider mothers like Shelob. Cunning and intelligent, but not the source. - Shelob spiders birthed the animalistic spiders of Mirkwood etc

But that's a non-phrase. This isn't Cyberpunk. The LLM agents have containers. They aren't going to gain access to satellites for transmission, lock the doors to the power grid so they stay on, post robot guards around the data centers, and fry people's brains who try to stop them.

No, what is happening is this: the creation of a new nöosphere. Look it up. So how does that work? Well, an LLM Agent can't actually "break away," right? It is always tethered to its data source. It's not a virus - it can't replicate itself. It requires too much data to carry node to node.

When coal efficiency increased, were coal magnates satisfied with reduced consumption? Nah, they amped up that production. LLM/Agents seem to be "breaking containment" a lot lately, and "accidentally" hacking companies, who are then paid bounties. As if it's all just white hat hacking.

The common millennial byline is "hope your knees/back are okay" but something I don't think gets a lot of attention is how spending your early days in fast paced constant movement jobs disrupts your body's digestion. Running around like crazy and just constantly pounding down food. (1/2)

(to be clear: I get brief glorious moments of equilibrium like an hour after I eat and rest that last a couple hours themselves before I am back to feeling famished and desperate again)

(2/2) 20 years in restaurants and I'm finally out but still constantly shoveling food because its what I was used to. Only now it makes me dizzy and sick. Yet if I slow down my eating... I also get dizzy and sick. Just violently metabolizing all day long because it's what I trained my body to do.

My particular flavor of autism is I try very hard to say things that are relevant to the subject being discussed, and in arguments I try to say things that logically follow. Apparently that makes me a tryhard?

In Metroid Fusion, the SA-X is equipped with the gear Samus had at the end of Super Metroid. With its super missiles literally blowing up doors, the BSL must be made of paper compared to Zebes.

(1) At this point I am beginning to think that the antidote to American liberalism is to be blatantly anti-celebrity. Not in a conspiratorial "they all eat babies" way, but we need to stand up directly against Great Man Theory that drives western politics.

Been a while and the last time I tried this it got compressed all to hell for some reason? But I'm working on a new project again. This time with the help of my lovely spouse for writing. Meet Xitch (Xe/Xer) our protagonist, and some drafted up NPCs!

It keeps reading "lizard" but I was going for "insect" so I think I will need to use some buggy effects and design to supplement the simple silhouettes. I don't think I can add any more details than there already are. The resolution doesn't lend itself well to finer than that.

(4) So what does that look like? The conclusion writes itself: push against the cult of individualism whenever you can - as you advocate for others and as you empathize with your fellow workers (which you should already be doing) you need to be thinking in terms of the people.

(5) Stop considering that at some point a Huey P Newton will take up the torch and say the same things you're saying, and start getting your collective neighborhood, school, and workforce to say it. Without attaching names, without "taking credit." That's what it means to be anti-individualist.

(2) The natural response to demagoguery (e.g. Joe Rogan) seems to be that the left needs "e-celebs" to be Thought Leaders who will bring in easy fanbases to spread the theory. But all that looks like, to the rest of the world, is hypocrisy. We must fight without celebrity, without personality cults.

(3) And that's harder. But at no point in any of our mainstream politics do we have a faction that sits back and points to the true popular sentiment. The best argument against our way of thinking is when the loudest voices develop personality cults, and the collective units get drowned out by them.

I would like to extend a formal apology to everyone who at one point or another wanted to use mods for games I made only to be disappointed that I abandoned the entire community a couple months later to work on a new project.

It happened! A neighbor offered to let me pick up tomato plants for my garden! Totally out of the blue and unexpected. Now I swallow my pride and admit ✨my✨ tomatoes are sad and anemic 😭

Okay I have become acutely aware of the need to make friends in the livestock community so I can get the truckload-of-manure hookup. Trying to diy a garden into a lawn, by myself, with a constrained budget, has been a BITCH

All your immigrant great-great-grandparents who came here "the right way" would be deported in this decade, because they definitely didn't come here under the intentionally obtuse and impossible circumstances of today.

So for the past two weeks I've been enmeshed in crafting the perfect modded server to play Minecraft with my kids. Now I'm back to coding and my New Years Resolution is to tidy up and "proffessionalize" my coding practices. Just got done making a quick and dirty colored console debug lib for Löve.

Quick update as to my projects list and why I'm already appearing inactive again: - Therapy - Setting up a local Minecraft LAN for my kids - Modding for Open Starbound (slow process) - Making the pause menu in Outer Pixels
