So, I thought I'd give you a quick life update. - My depression, which I've been suffering from for a while, is so bad at the moment that I can't even code anymore - I'm losing my new job at the end of the month because my new employer is going bust But I won't let it get me down ...

I got my hands dirty today working with data, literally. My old homelab shredded a hard disk and when I dismantled it, the terrabytes of dust were already trickling towards me ...

I'm home alone with my dogs because my wife is in the hospital (nothing serious) and both of them are bored. Somehow I'm not fun enough for them, so they are sleeping the day away till their true owner returns ...

I'm thinking about buying a mechanical keyboard. But I'm not quite sure whether I'll be able to work with it. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience? It should have LED backlight, be full size and the QWERTZ layout.

I just finally added README and LICENSE files to a whole bunch of my GitHub repositories. I have to admit that ChatGPT was a big help. Still, I'll have to revise them again over time. Next, I will finally upload all old projects that are not yet in version control to GitHub.

So, my site has officially made the switch from Svelte to Astro (with a sprinkle of Svelte magic). The real question now: do I start adding the new features, or do I scrap it all and rebuild it in Nuxt for the fun of it? Decisions, decisions...

I’m stuck in a three-way dilemma. My personal website is in SvelteKit right now, which I love. I could rebuild it in Nuxt, which I also love. Or maybe Astro, because it has this awesome integration with Obsidian. Now I’m just sitting here, stuck on the character creation screen of web frameworks...

"A company isn’t like a family—it’s more like a village. Everyone has their role to play, and only by working together can it truly thrive." - It's true I guess, but sometime it's hard to find the right village for you to be happy in.

Maybe it’s time to trade Skyrim for Morrowind. Back when I first got it, I was absolutely mesmerized by the water reflections—like, stop-everything-and-just-stare mesmerized. And yet, I barely played more than an hour. But hey, maybe it’s time to finally see if Morrowind has sweetrolls, too.

I’m currently embarking on the grand quest to switch from Windows to Linux, starting with the delicate art of taming my WSL. A sprinkle of zsh here, a dash of exa there—and suddenly, I’m feeling like a level 1 adventurer who accidentally wandered into a high-level dungeon.

I have a confession to make: I’m playing Skyrim. Again. Because why tackle my ever-growing backlog when there’s Tamriel to explore and yet another sweetroll to steal? Priorities, right?

Hi, fellow Skyfolk! I’ve been lurking in this cozy corner of the internet for a week now, so I figured it’s about time I stopped pretending to be mysterious and said hello. 1/7

So, if you’re into tech nerdery, storytelling, or just want to talk shop about how AI is more Jarvis than Skynet, hit me up. I promise I’m at least 80% friendly, and my charisma modifier is decent enough. 7/7

When I’m not knee-deep in code, I love exploring new technologies. AI, in particular, fascinates me—not as a terrifying new overlord plotting humanity’s demise, but as a powerful tool with immense potential (and occasionally questionable humor). 6/7

When I’m not battling typos or debugging life, you can find me hoarding video games I’ll totally finish one day or diving headfirst into learning something weird and wonderful. 5/7

Think of me as a frontend bard, singing the praises of clean code and well-crafted UIs. After a decade-long campaign at my last job, the adventure party decided to split, so I’m currently scouting for my next big quest. 3/7

I’m Sascha, but friends, family, and foes alike call me Sauriel. (Yes, I chose the name myself—it’s dramatic, and honestly, life is more fun that way.) By trade, I’m a full-stack developer who’s got a particular crush on Vue.js, Nuxt, Svelte, and Typescript. 2/7

You are up to date.
