“This is a wonderful establishment. May you be protected from greedy short-sighted politicians. RIP Ontario Science Centre.” Spotted in #Toronto #Ontario

FOIs by Ontario’s journalists are in the public interest & benefit all of us. Without the reporting of Isaac Callan & Colin D’Mello, Tina Yazdani, Charlie Pinkerton, Allison Jones, Siobhan Morris & many others, the public wouldn’t know the truth about the OSC. FOIs are good for democracy. #onpoli

The brand new Don Valley Station’s roof is leaking, on Eglinton Line 5. #ontario #toronto #onpoli #topoli

Heartwarming to stumble upon our poster today.

"What I do as a person, as an architect, it's not so that it looks good on paper or in a magazine. It's not a statement of one's ego. It has to express democracy, equality, inclusion of all people, and social justice. If not, then architecture is a hollow sham." - Raymond Moriyama

Reopening the visionary centre created by Raymond Moriyama, reimagined and renewed for continued public enjoyment is a priority for Save OSC. Stay tuned for a future announcement about community meetings in April.

Paul Kortenaar, CEO of the Ontario Science Centre, highlighted the centre’s future potential, stating, “Our future home will bring science to life in an inclusive and playful way, where visitors, including teachers and students, can experience the wonder of science.”

John Carmichael reports to the Ontario govt as chair of the OSC board. He is not independent. He is accountable to Doug Ford. He also received the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025, after he closed the #ontariosciencecentre #toronto #topoli #onpoli #CoronationMedal #Canada

CEO Paul Kortenaar, John Carmichael, and OSC executives have already destroyed the Ontario Science Centre. They will happily join Doug Ford and Stan Cho for demolition day, with jackhammers in hand. Right, guys? #ontario #toronto #onpoli #topoli

It is clear Raymond Moriyama was more then the architect of the OSC building. He was a visionary founding father, celebrated and honoured by the Ontario Science Centre itself. The soul of @OntScienceCtr torn down by Doug Ford, for 🇺🇸 tourism. #ontario #toronto #onpoli #topoli

Tourism, Tourism, Tourism. Doug Ford's science centre is not for STEM education, or for Ontario families. It is about extracting as much money from visiting American tourists, to put into the pockets of the premier's friends. #ontario #toronto #onpoli #topoli

Another local firm takes the money despite a public landmark being destroyed.

Meet the new science centre: Lots and lots of walking, with a few exhibits in-between on the journey. No public transit to the front door either. #ontario #toronto #onpoli #topoli

Remember, Doug Ford knew he was going to close the Ontario Science Centre as early as 2020. It took six years - until February 2026 - for Doug Ford to release a design for a new one. No shovels in the ground yet either. #ontario #toronto #onpoli #topoli
