My sleep schedule is screwed up, so... of course I'm about to have an affogato at nearly 7 pm. That totally makes logical sense, right? Heh.

I have become nocturnal again. For a few minutes, I was doing the whole early morning thing. I'm goth again. I'm also still doing the morning thing bc between that & naps, I've been aces lately at being productive. Or so I feel. Or something. Heh.

It's been a few since I did one of these good updates. bsky.app/profile/scan... My last one was last month. Getting back from IL was rougher than I'd like, even though community made it awesome at first. Unfortunately, some other things were less groovy & showed up after & well, blah.

In non actual death related matters, my copy of Viva Catrina is currently missing. This is super extra frustrating bc the last time I had it was in IL. I was supposed to have that return to me before Dia de Los Muertos so I could play it in person but now... ugh. #boardgames

After a long day of talking to a family member (actually by choice & not awful), I played some digital #boardgames & have been poking around Find a Grave working on getting management of family memorials from random strangers. Just another day in the goth life really I guess.

Doing this research is also further annoying because this is something that my dad did ages ago. We could be sitting together working out the puzzle pieces to things if he wasn't so surly & all that. Quite funny to me regardless about how this is my thing too as the death chick in the family.

Oh & a few curious things have shown up when doing this whole working on getting graves transferred. I’m finding stuff missing & things that had previously been put into record that were actually wrong so the genealogical research is even more of an adventure in the making…

Saturday #boardgames day was quite full today! It was so overflowing beyond the brim that I am reminded that I am fortunate for having too many people to be able to play with at times. It's a humblebrag paired with so much gratitude since, well, that sentiment of love isn't always around me.

It shouldn't feel strange to return to this. This is a garden that I've cultivated with the seeds I've planted over time. While not perfect, there are so many things that bring me gratitude, especially when the sunshine comes in. It's a reminder of the warmth & growth happening. It's a revolution.

Something positive to start the day: after my grandpa died I started seeing a bunch of squirrels. Not a big deal given I was in IL in Oct. Well yesterday I found out from my cousin that my grandpa apparently had been a bit of a squirrel whisperer at one point & I didn't know it.

My cousin told me one day while on a walk, he bent down, picked up a squirrel, & pet it. He insisted my cousins do it as well. As he & my cousins walked, all the squirrels followed them. They laughed about it. Now years later so am I. Every time I see a squirrel, I'm going to think of my grandpa.

Next up was another one that didn’t dazzle us: Tiny Towns. We played it with 2 having the selection for cubes be random draw. It didn’t wow us either. Does anyone really enjoy that #boardgame?

Last week, I digitally attended a police meeting. Today I'm listening to the Continuum of Care meeting. Or I hope I will be. Last week, when I tried to participate digitally, they postponed the meeting. Will it happen again this week? I guess we'll see...

After that we played a chill little game called The Finest Fish. The game is very aesthetically satisfying imo & a bit thinky even for a game I feel was more marketed toward kids. You draft & place scales on goldfish to try to complete drafted objectives. Very cute imo but I’m a little biased.

Yes I know the Dodgers lost the last two games. No, I'm genuinely not upset about it as even as a Dodgers fan, I know the Brewers are a legit rocking team this year & if they beat us, they will deserve it... even if they are cheesers. At least they aren't the shit ass welfare stealing Packers scum.
